''When Seconds Count'' is the sixth studio album by the American rock band Survivor, released in October 1986. It is the second album featuring vocalist Jimi Jamison. The album included the hit single, " Is This Love", which peaked at #9 in the US on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart in early 1987. The album reached #49 on the ''Billboard'' 200 album chart. This is one of the many Survivor albums briefly taken out of print in 2009. However, it was remastered and reissued in 2011 and distributed by Rock Candy Records. Jim Peterik
James Michael Peterik ( ; born November 11, 1950) is an American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the founder of the rock band Survivor, as vocalist and songwriter of "Vehicle" by the Ides of March, and as co-writer of the anthem "Eye of the Tiger", the theme from the 1982 film ''Rocky III''. Peterik has co-written songs for 38 Special (" Rockin' into the Night",, "Hold On Loosely and "Caught Up in You"), Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackhawk, Cheap Trick, Sammy Hagar (" Heavy Metal"), Cathy Richardson, Dennis DeYoung, Van Zant, Brian Wilson, REO Speedwagon, and The Beach Boys. Frankie Sullivan
Frankie Sullivan (born February 1, 1955) is an American guitarist, best known for being a founding member of the rock band Survivor. He has been the only permanent fixture in its lineup since the band's 1977 inception. Early life According to pianist and keyboardist Jimmy Tranchitella of Northlake, Illinois, Sullivan's musical career began in his early teens. He enjoyed sports and started running when he was 17; he became a lifelong runner. One of his heroes is Muhammad Ali, and he has a framed autograph from the boxer hanging in his home. Career In 1976, Sullivan was a member of the Chicago-based hard rock band Mariah. In 1978, he partnered with Jim Peterik and the two became a very successful songwriting team. Ron Nevison
Ron Nevison is an American record producer and audio engineer. He started his career in the early 1970s as an engineer on ''Quadrophenia'' by the Who and Bad Company's debut album. He eventually became a producer, working with artists including Meat Loaf, The Babys, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne, UFO, Michael Schenker Group, Survivor, Jefferson Starship, Thin Lizzy, Kiss, Europe, Chicago, Grand Funk Railroad, Heart, and Damn Yankees among many others. "Burning Heart" is a song by Survivor. It appeared in the 1985 film ''Rocky IV'' and on its soundtrack album; the film's star Sylvester Stallone personally commissioned the song. The single peaked at number 2 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 for two weeks in February 1986, behind "That's What Friends Are For" by Dionne and Friends.
