The River Irvine ( gd, Irbhinn) is a river that flows through southwest Scotland. Its watershed is on the Lanarkshire border of Ayrshire at an altitude of above sea-level, near Loudoun Hill, Drumclog Moss, Drumclog, and SW by W of Strathaven. It flows westward, dividing the old district of Cunninghame from that of Kyle, until it reaches the sea via Irvine Harbour in the form of the Firth of Clyde, and flows into Irvine Bay by the town of Irvine, North Ayrshire, Irvine. Gary Irvine (born 17 March 1985) is a Scottish professional footballer and manager. He has previously played for Celtic, Ross County, St Johnstone, Dundee and St Mirren and Forfar Athletic, the last of which he also performed the role of player-manager for. Frank Irvine (September 15, 1858 - June 23, 1931) was a federal judge, and later the dean of Cornell Law School. Biography Born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, Irvine graduated from Cornell University in 1880, and from the National University School of Law in Washington, D.C., in 1883. After gaining admission to the bar in the District of Columbia working as an assistant to the United States district attorney until 1884, when he moved to Omaha, Nebraska. In 1891, Governor James E. Boyd appointed Irvine to a seat on the state district court. In 1922 he was nominated for Congress. Hi-5 were an Australian children's musical group formed in 1998 in association with the children's television series of the same name. Helena Harris and Posie Graeme-Evans created the television series for the Nine Network, which premiered in 1999. The group were made up of five performers who entertained and educated preschool children through music, movement and play. Kellie Crawford, Kathleen de Leon Jones, Nathan Foley, Tim Harding and Charli Robinson were the founding members. By the end of 2008, all of the original line-up had left, and the group's membership changed several more times after that. They collectively starred in several television series, released albums, and performed on worldwide tours. Edith Irvine
Lizzie Edith Irvine (7 January 1884 – 1949) was an American photographer who documented the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Born into a wealthy family in Northern California, Irvine became interested in photography as a child and continued throughout her young adult life, photographing the progress of the Electra Power Project near her home. In 1906, Irvine happened to arrive in San Francisco just hours after the earthquake struck, and was able to take photographs of the aftermath despite the armed guards posted around the city trying to downplay the extent of the damage. In her later years, Irvine suffered from severe joint pains and became addicted to painkillers and alcohol. Following her death, her photographs were donated to the Brigham Young University Library in Provo, Utah. Alexander Andrew Mackay Irvine, Baron Irvine of Lairg, (born 23 June 1940), known as Derry Irvine, is a Scottish lawyer, judge and political figure who served as Lord Chancellor under his former pupil barrister, Tony Blair. Education Irvine was born in Inverness, Scotland, the son of a roofer and a waitress. He was educated at the fee-paying private school, Hutchesons' Boys' Grammar School in Glasgow. Del Irvine
Delmar Edwards Irvine (November 24, 1892 – April 13, 1916) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played professionally for the Portland Rosebuds of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA) and was a member of the 1916 PCHA champions. He died after his one professional season of pneumonia, attributed to playing hockey indoors all winter, and inhaling chloride, which was used to artificially freeze the ice at the time. Playing career Born in Barrie, Ontario, Irvine played senior hockey for the Winnipeg Monarchs and won the 1915 Allan Cup championship with the club.
