Ironman Raceway
Ironman Raceway is a motocross track in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Originating as a Grand National Cross Country venue beginning in 1995, the motocross course opened in 2014 due in part to the large success of the Ironman GNCC. The facility hosts events within the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship the GNCC Racing Series, as well as a round of the ATV Motocross National Championship. Ironman History During a trip to the Blackwater 100 GNCC event in the early 1990s, the Shaver Family came in contact with race promoter, Dave Coombs. After some discussion with Big Dave, they felt their family farm may be suitable for a GNCC event. Dave would send his Son-in-Law, Jeff Russell, to Crawfordsville, Indiana to see the farm firsthand. After a brief tour, the decision was made to add the event to the GNCC schedule beginning in 1995. AMA Motocross Championship
The AMA Motocross Championship (commercially known as Lucas Oil Pro Motocross) is an American motorcycle racing series. The motocross race series was founded and sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) in 1972. The series is the major outdoor motocross series in the United States and is sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing and managed by MX Sports Pro Racing. With respect to the MXGP holding the discipline's worldwide title, and the advent of the Supercross World Championship resulting in the AMA Supercross Championship losing its world title status, the two series will form the SuperMotocross World Championship from 2023. Grand National Cross Country
The Grand National Cross Country Series is an American motorcycle racing series. The off-road race series was founded by Dave Coombs in 1975 and is sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA). The competition is similar to motocross but, instead of using an enclosed race track, it features extended cross-country, off-road courses of 8 to 12 miles in length and competitions lasting up to 3 hours. GNCC races are physically demanding, leading as many as 2,200 riders through tracks ranging from woods, to hills, mud, rocks, roots, motocross track sections and more. The series has classes for off-road motorcycles, ATV and eMTB vehicles. GNCC Racing is open to both professional and amateur racers in a variety of skill level and age classes. Jett Lawrence
Jettson Lawrence (born August 7, 2003, in Landsborough, Queensland, Australia) is an Australian Motocross racer. Competing in the AMA Supercross & Motocross Championships; a one-time 450cc AMA Motocross & 450cc SuperMotocross Champion, a two-time 250cc AMA Motocross, & 250cc AMA Supercross Champion. Jett was the 2020 Marty Smith Pro Rookie of the year in the 250cc class for the AMA Motocross Championship. He also received the Ricky Carmichael Award at the 2022 Motocross des Nations. Jett's brother Hunter Lawrence is also a competitive motocross racer.
