Irmgard Sörensen-Popitz (3 June 1896 – 2 November 1993) frequently known as Söre Popitz was a German graphic designer who studied at the Bauhaus. Life Irmgard Sörensen was born on 3 July 1896 in Kiel, Germany. She began painting at an early age, encouraged by her grandmother. In her teenage years, Sörensen continued to pursue visual arts, going on to attend the craft college in Kiel. In 1917 she matriculated at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig, where she studied graphic arts, drafting, and advertising. After receiving her diploma in 1924, Sörensen married Friedrich Popitz, a physician. In October 1924, Sörensen-Popitz enrolled in the Bauhaus Weimar. Maria Theresia Irmgard Seefried was born in , near Mindelheim, Bavaria, Germany, the daughter of educated Austrian-born parents. She studied at Augsburg University before making her debut in Aachen as the priestess in Verdi's ''Aida'' in 1940. Irmgard Schwaetzer (born 5 April 1942) is a German politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and a Protestant church official. Since 2013, she has been chairing the Synod of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD). She is the central founding figure, as well as honorary chairwoman of the Liberal Women. Irmgard Praetz (9 August 1920 – 7 November 2008) was a German track and field athlete who competed mainly in the long jump. She was the gold medallist in that event at the 1938 European Athletics Championships. She achieved her career best mark of at the competition, which ranked her third globally for the year. Irmgard Möller (born 13 May 1947) is a former member of the German group the Red Army Faction (RAF). Her father was a high school teacher, and before joining the RAF, she was a student of German studies. RAF activity *On 12 May 1972, Möller and Angela Luther walked into police headquarters in Augsburg carrying suitcases. They placed pipe bombs in empty offices on the 3rd and 4th floors and walked out again.
