Irma Johansson
Irma Elina Johansson (later ''Öberg'', born 3 April 1932) is a former Swedish cross-country skier. She competed at the 1956 and 1960 Olympics in the 3 × 5 km relay and 10 km events and won two medals in the relay, with a gold in 1960 and a bronze in 1956. Individually she finished in 7–8th place. Johansson also won a 3 × 5 relay km bronze medal at the 1958 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. Kalix
Kalix ( sv, Kalix; Kalix dialect: ''Kôlis'', , phonemically ; fi, Kainuu; fit, Kainus) is a locality and the seat of the Kalix Municipality in Norrbotten County, Sweden. The name Kalix is believed to originate from the Sami word ''Gáláseatnu'', or "Kalasätno", meaning "The cold river" the ancient name of the Kalix River. It had 7,299 inhabitants in 2005, out of 17,300 inhabitants in the municipality of Kalix. Kalix Löjrom There is a culinary speciality specific to Kalix, called Kalix Löjrom, also referred to as caviar of Kalix. It is basically fish eggs (caviar) of the vendace, but because of the large influx of fresh water from the huge rivers around and in Kalix, this has transformed the taste of the fish eggs, rendering them unique in flavour to this area alone. Cross-country Skiing At The 1960 Winter Olympics – Women's 10 Kilometre
The 10 kilometre cross-country skiing event was part of the cross-country skiing programme at the 1960 Winter Olympics, in Squaw Valley, California, United States. It was the third appearance of the event. The competition was held on Saturday, February 20, 1960, at the McKinney Creek Stadium. It was a Soviet Union clean sweep of the medals with Maria Gusakova winning gold and defending champion Lyubov Kozyreva taking silver. In fact the Soviets also took fourth place through Alevtina Kolchina. Two days later, Gusakova's husband, Nikolay Gusakov won bronze in the Nordic Combined.
