Iranian Naval Rigid Inflatable Speedboats
Various series of rigid inflatable boat (RIB) are operated by naval forces of Iran. Based on a design by Italian Fabio Buzzi, they have been manufactured and modified in Iran. History The cooperation between FB Design and Iranians started in 1998, when frames and blueprints of patrol boat ''Levriero'' was purchased by Iran. It is likely that Shahid Joulaee Marine Industries (subordinate to Marine Industries Organization) obtained a license to produce RIB-33SC and FB-55SC models domestically. In 2005, American authorities questioned FB Design about their deals with Iran, effectively putting an end to the cooperation. Iran has reportedly altered some original designs and manufactured similar modifications. Rigid Inflatable Boat
A rigid inflatable boat (RIB), also rigid-hull inflatable boat or rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RHIB), is a lightweight but high-performance and high-capacity boat constructed with a rigid hull bottom joined to side-forming air tubes that are inflated with air to a high pressure so as to give the sides resilient rigidity along the boat's topsides. The design is stable, light, fast and seaworthy. The inflated collar acts as a life jacket, ensuring that the vessel retains its buoyancy, even if the boat is taking on water. Fabio Buzzi
Fabio Buzzi (28 January 1943 – 17 September 2019) was an Italian motorboat builder and racer. Biography Fabio Buzzi was born in Lecco in 1943, from a family tied for centuries to the art of building and design. His powerboat racing career started in 1960. He graduated in mechanical engineering in 1971 from the Polytechnic University of Turin where he took a degree in mechanical engineering with a thesis on a self-constructed vehicle. He built his first race boat in 1974, a three-point hydroplane called "Mostro" (Monster), the first boat ever built in Kevlar 49. He set a world speed record (176.676 km/h) with this boat in the class S4 in 1978. On 17 September 2019, Buzzi, Luca Nicolini and Eric Hoorn were killed when their boat crashed against the San Nicoletto dam in Venice. A rocket launcher is a weapon that launches an unguided, rocket-propelled projectile. History The earliest rocket launchers documented in imperial China consisted of arrows modified by the attachment of a rocket motor to the shaft a few inches behind the arrowhead. Special Unit of NEDSA ( fa, یگان ویژه ندسا), also known as Sepah Navy Special Force (S.N.S.F.)
