IperEspresso
IperEspresso is a single-serve capsule system for preparing espresso coffee and espresso-based drinks. It was developed and patented by Illy. IperEspresso capsule encloses a complete extraction group that replaces the traditional process of percolation with a two-stage extraction. In the first stage, ''iper-infusion'', hot water under pressure creates conditions that extract coffee flavor and aroma and increase richness and complexity. In the second stage, emulsification, the iper-infusion is forced through the valve at the bottom of the capsule, mixing the aromatic oils with air to produce cream. Machines IperEspresso capsules require special espresso machines. They are manufactured by FrancisFrancis! (a subsidiary of Illy), Gaggia (Saeco), and Cuisinart ( Conair). Some of FrancisFrancis! machines are designed by award winning authors. The most famous is X1 designed by Luca Trazzi and included in the Forbes Magazine’s list of the best espresso machines in the world. In ad ...

Coffee In Italy
Italians are well known for their special attention to the preparation, the selection of the blends, and the use of accessories when creating many types of coffees. Many of the types of coffee preparation known today also have their roots here. The main coffee port in Italy is Trieste where there is also a lot of coffee processing industry. Italian coffee consumption, often espresso, is highest in the city of Trieste, with an average of 1500 cups of coffee per person per year. That is about twice as much as is usually drunk in Italy. Caffè () is the Italian word for coffee and probably originates from '' Kaffa'' ( ar, قهوة, Qahwa), the region in Ethiopia where coffee originated. The Muslims first used and distributed it worldwide from the port of Mocha in Yemen, after which the Europeans named it ''mokka''. ''Caffè'' may refer to the Italian way of preparing a coffee, an espresso, or occasionally used as a synonym for the European coffee bar. Caffè espresso Normally ...

Espresso Machines
Espresso (, ) is a coffee-brewing method of Italian origin, in which a small amount of nearly boiling water (about ) is forced under of pressure through finely-ground coffee beans. Espresso can be made with a wide variety of coffee beans and roast degrees. Espresso is the most common way of making coffee in southern Europe, especially in Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal. It is also popular in Switzerland, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Espresso is generally thicker than coffee brewed by other methods, with a viscosity similar to that of warm honey. This is due to the higher concentration of suspended and dissolved solids, and the ''crema'' on top (a foam with a creamy consistency). As a result of the pressurized brewing process, the flavors and chemicals in a typical cup of espresso are very concentrated. Espresso has more caffeine per unit volume than most coffee be ...

Recycling
Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects. The recovery of energy from waste materials is often included in this concept. The recyclability of a material depends on its ability to reacquire the properties it had in its original state. It is an alternative to "conventional" waste disposal that can save material and help lower greenhouse gas emissions. It can also prevent the waste of potentially useful materials and reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reducing energy use, air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling). Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" waste hierarchy. It promotes environmental sustainability by removing raw material input and redirecting waste output in the economic system. There are some ISO standards related to recycling, such as ISO 15270:2008 for plastics waste and ISO 14001:2015 for enviro ...

Coffea Arabica
''Coffea arabica'' (), also known as the Arabic coffee, is a species of flowering plant in the coffee and madder family Rubiaceae. It is believed to be the first species of coffee to have been cultivated and is currently the dominant cultivar, representing about 60% of global production. Coffee produced from the less acidic, more bitter, and more highly caffeinated robusta bean ('' C. canephora'') makes up most of the remaining coffee production. Arabica coffee originates from and was first cultivated in Yemen, and documented by the 12th century. ''Coffea arabica'' is called () in Arabic, borrowed from the Amharic "Buna". Taxonomy ''Coffea arabica'' was first described scientifically by Antoine de Jussieu, who named it ''Jasminum arabicum'' after studying a specimen from the Botanic Gardens of Amsterdam. Linnaeus placed it in its own genus ''Coffea'' in 1737. ''Coffea arabica'' is the only polyploid species of the genus ''Coffea,'' as it carries 4 copies of the 11 chromosom ...

Single-serve Coffee Container
A single-serve coffee container is a method for coffee brewing that prepares only enough coffee for a single portion. Single-serve coffee containers can both reduce the time needed to brew coffee and simplify the brewing process by eliminating the need to measure out portions, flavorings, and additives from large bulk containers. They can also help to keep the unused product fresher by individually packaging portions separately without exposing the entire supply batch to air and light. Paper coffee pods can be functionally identical to plastic and metal coffee capsules, if the paper pods are individually sealed in separate bags. At the same time, the disposable single-use products add to the global waste production. Variations Several different systems exist: * ''Coffee pods'' or ''pads'' are pre-packaged ground coffee beans in their own filter. * A ''coffee capsule'' differs from a coffee pod in that the coffee is packed in a plastic or aluminum package instead of a paper ...
