Ipasha Peak
Ipasha Peak () is located in the Lewis Range, Glacier National Park in the U.S. state of Montana. Ipasha Peak is south of Mount Merritt and is in the northeastern section of Glacier National Park. Ahern Glacier is located on the southeastern slopes of the mountain while the Ipasha Glacier is to the southwest of the peak. Helen Lake lies almost below the summit of Ipasha Peak to the southeast. Climate Based on the Köppen climate classification, it is located in an alpine subarctic climate zone with long, cold, snowy winters, and cool to warm summers. Temperatures can drop below −10 °F with wind chill factors below −30 °F. Geology Like other mountains in Glacier National Park, it is composed of sedimentary rock laid down during the Precambrian to Jurassic periods. Glacier County, Montana
Glacier County is located in the U.S. state of Montana. As of the 2020 census, the population was 13,778. The county is located in northwestern Montana between the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountains, known to the Blackfeet as the "Backbone of the World". The county is geographically and culturally diverse and includes the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, Glacier National Park, and Lewis and Clark National Forest. The county is bordered by 75 miles of international boundary with two ports of entry ( Piegan and Del Bonita) open year-round and one seasonal (Chief Mountain) international border crossing into Alberta, Canada.
