Iowa's 29th Senate District
The 29th District of the Iowa Senate is located in eastern Iowa, and is currently composed of Dubuque, Jackson, and Jones Counties. Current elected officials Carrie Koelker is the senator currently representing the 29th District. The area of the 29th District contains two Iowa House of Representatives districts: *The 57th District (represented by Shannon Lundgren) *The 58th District (represented by Steve Bradley) The district is also located in Iowa's 1st congressional district, which is represented by Ashley Hinson. Shannon Lundgren is an American politician who sits in the Iowa House of Representatives. Early life On April 4, 1972, Lundgren was born in Dubuque, Iowa. Education Lundgren attended Midwest Travel & Hospitality Institute and became a certified travel agent. Career Lundgren's career started in the travel industry. Nancy Boettger
Nancy Jane Boettger (born May 1, 1943) was the Iowa State Senator from the 9th District. A Republican, she served in the Iowa Senate since 1995. She received a B.A. in Sociology from Iowa State University in 1965 and a B.A. from Buena Vista College in Education in 1982. Boettger served on several committees in the Iowa Senate: the Agriculture committee; the Appropriations committee; the Human Resources committee; the Judiciary committee; the Rules and Administration committee; and the Education committee, where she was the ranking member. She also served as the ranking member of the Education Appropriations Subcommittee. Boettger was re-elected in 2006 with 14,474 votes, running unopposed. She left office in 2015. Dennis Black
Dennis H. Black (born December 18, 1939) is a former Democratic politician, from Lynnville Iowa. Black holds a bachelor's degree in forest management and a master's degree in natural resource economics from Utah State University. He was an author of The Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) Fund while chairing the House Natural Resources Committee in Iowa's 73rd General Assembly. Black's career includes work as a natural resource analyst and consultant, service as the director of the Jasper County Conservation Board from 1970 to 2005, and the author of numerous natural resource management publications. Ashley Elizabeth Hinson (born June 27, 1983) is an American politician and journalist serving as the U.S. representative for Iowa's 1st congressional district since 2021.
