Ionosat Micro is a Ukrainian satellite mission. The head scientific organization is the Space Research Institute of NAS of Ukraine and SSA of Ukraine. Pivdenne Design Office ( uk, Державне конструкторське бюро «Південне» ім. М. К. Янгеля , lit=State design bureau "Southern", named after M. K. Yangel, translit=Derzhavne konstruktorske biuro "Pivdenne" im. M. K. Yanhelia), located in Dnipro, Ukraine, is a designer of satellites and rockets, and formerly of Soviet intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), established by Mikhail Yangel. Geocentric Orbit
A geocentric orbit or Earth orbit involves any object orbiting Earth, such as the Moon or artificial satellites. Low Earth Orbit
A low Earth orbit (LEO) is an orbit around Earth with a period of 128 minutes or less (making at least 11.25 orbits per day) and an eccentricity less than 0.25. Most of the artificial objects in outer space are in LEO, with an altitude never more than about one-third of the radius of Earth. Sich-1M
Sich-1M () is a Ukrainian spacecraft, an artificial satellite of Earth, constructed for remote sensing of Earth. Developed by Yuzhnoye Design Office and manufactured by Yuzhmash. Sich-1M was launched on December 24, 2004, at 13:20 from the Plesetsk cosmodrome (Russia) using the Cyclone-3 launch vehicle together with MK-1TS microsatellite. Both satellites placed into incorrect orbits due to premature third stage cutoff. The satellite was in orbit until April 15, 2006. Purpose Sich-1M was designed to receive information simultaneously in the optical, infrared and microwave ranges.
