Ionel Melinte
Ionel Melinte (born 31 January 1996) is a Romanian rugby union football player. He plays as a fullback for professional Le Rugby Club Hyères La Crau Carqueiranne. Club career Ionel Melinte started playing rugby as a youth for CS Cleopatra Mamaia at age 16 and after three years he moved to Bucharest to finish his junior years with giants Steaua. After one year he joined the senior squad of Steaua where he played for three seasons. In 2019 he was signed by Timișoara Saracens. CSA Steaua București (rugby Union)
CSA Steaua București is a professional Romanian rugby union club from Ghencea, south-west Bucharest, which plays in the Liga Națională de Rugby, the first division of Romanian rugby. They are the most successful rugby union team in the Romania with 24 championship titles and 15 cup titles to their name. 2018 Rugby Europe Championship
The 2018 Rugby Europe Championship is the premier rugby union competition outside of the Six Nations Championship in Europe. This is the second season under its new format, that saw Georgia, Germany, Romania, Russia, Spain and Belgium compete for the title. This year's edition of the Rugby Europe Championship also served as a key stage of the European region qualification process for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
