Ion Bucan (born Pașcani, 27 January 1955), is a Romanian former rugby union player. He played as prop. Career He first played in 1970, for Politehnica Iași, where he played until 1978, when he started to play for Știința Petroșani in the championship. Bucan later moved for Dinamo București in 1984. He debuted for Romania on 21 September 1976, against Bulgaria, in Burgas, ESPN Scrum during the 1976-77 FIRA Trophy. Pașcani
Pașcani () is a city in Iași County in the Western Moldavia region of Romania, on the Siret river. , it has a population of 33,745. Five villages are administered by the city: Blăgești, Boșteni, Gâstești, Lunca, and Sodomeni. The city derived its name from the estate of the boyar Oană Pașca. It is the city where Mihail Sadoveanu's novel ''The Place Where Nothing Happened'' takes place. An important local site is the Church of the Holy Archangels. Cupa României (Rugby)
The Cupa României ( en, Romanian Cup) is a football cup competition for Romanian teams which has been held annually since 1933–34, except during World War II. It is the country's main cup competition, being open to all clubs affiliated with the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) and the county football associations regardless of the league they belong to. Currently, the winner of the competition is granted a place in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers and plays the Supercupa României. Most finals have been held at the Stadionul Național (formerly known as "23 August"), and occasionally at other stadiums in Bucharest.
