Ion Aldea Teodorovici
Doina and Ion Aldea Teodorovici was a Moldovan musical duo consisting of married couple Doina and Ion Aldea Teodorovici. The group disbanded in 1992, after both members died in a road traffic accident in Coşereni. Today, there is a monument to them there, as well as another in Chişinău. The Popular Front of Moldova ( ro, Frontul Popular din Moldova) was a political movement in the Moldavian SSR, one of the 15 union republics of the former Soviet Union, and in the newly independent Republic of Moldova. Formally, the Front existed from 1989 to 1992. It was the successor to the ''Democratic Movement of Moldova'' (''Mișcarea Democratică din Moldova''; 1988–89), and was succeeded by the ''Christian Democratic Popular Front'' (''Frontul Popular Creștin Democrat''; 1992–99) and ultimately by the Christian-Democratic People's Party (''Partidul Popular Creștin Democrat''; since 1999). Leova
Leova (russian: Леóва) is a city in Moldova, located 92 km southwest of the national capital, Chișinău. It is the administrative center of Leova District. The city is situated on the east bank of the river Prut bordering Romania. History The city of Leova is attested as far back as the 15th century. The Leova market is attested on August 26, 1806 in a document from Constantin Moruzzi, the Moldovan prince. After 1812, Leova became a customs post and border checkpoint.
