Ioannis Karamalegkos
Ioannis Karamalegkos (alternative spellings: Giannis, Yiannis, Karamalegos) (Greek: Ιωάννης Καραμαλέγκος; born 19 September 1994 in Maroussi, Athens, Greece) is a Greek professional basketball player. He is 1.92 m (6 ft 3 " in) tall, and he can play at both the point guard and shooting guard positions. Professional career Karamalegkos began his professional career with the Greek Basket League club Panathinaikos Athens in 2009. He was a member of the Panathinaikos team that won the EuroLeague championship in 2011. After that, he signed with Amyntas. In 2013, he signed with Arkadikos. He moved to Kastorias in 2017. National team career Karamalegkos was a member of the junior national teams of Greece. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. They must also be able to adapt to what the defense is allowing and must control the pace of the game. A point guard specializes in certain skills, like other player positions in basketball.
