''Introduction'' ( ko, 인트로덕션, Inteurodeoksyeon) is a 2021 South Korean drama film written and directed by Hong Sang-soo. The film stars Shin Seok-ho, Park Mi-so and Kim Min-hee. The film had its worldwide premiere at the 71st Berlin International Film Festival in March 2021, where it won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay. It was released theatrically in South Korea on May 27, 2021. Hong Sang-soo
Hong Sang-soo (홍상수, born 25 October 1960) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. Early life Hong's parents owned the film production company Cinetel Soul. Hong took the entrance exam and entered the theater department at Chung-Ang University in South Korea. He then studied in the United States where he received his bachelor's degree from the California College of Arts and Crafts and his master's at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Career Hong made his directorial debut at age 35 with The Day a Pig Fell into the Well (film), ''The Day a Pig Fell into the Well'' in 1996. Woman Is the Future of Man, ''Woman is the Future of Man'' (2004) was his first film to screen in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. 26th Busan International Film Festival
The 26th Busan International Film Festival opened on October 6 at the Busan Cinema Center in Busan, South Korea with South Korean film '' Heaven: To the Land of Happiness'' by Im Sang-soo. Park So-dam and Song Joong-ki hosted the opening of the festival, which was streamed live on YouTube. In 26th edition, 223 films from 70 countries were officially invited to the festival. 63 community service screenings were also part of the festival. 11th Beijing International Film Festival
The 11th Beijing International Film Festival () was held in Beijing, China. Hosted by the Beijing Municipal Government and the China Media Group, the festival opened on September 21 with the Chinese 2021 film ''The Battle at Lake Changjin'' by Chen Kaige, Tsui Hark and Dante Lam. The festival was originally scheduled to be held from August 14 to 21, but was postponed due to the spread of Corona 19 delta mutation in China.
