''Intro'' is the debut album by American contemporary R&B trio Intro. It was released on March 22, 1993, through Atlantic Records. Recording sessions took place at Playground Recording in Closter, Axis Studios and Soundtrack Recording in New York. Production was handled by Nevelle Hodge, Dave "Jam" Hall, DJ Eddie F., K-Smoove and Genard Parker, with co-producer Darin Whittington. The album peaked at number 65 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number 11 on the Top R&B Albums charts in the United States. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on November 10, 1993, for selling 500,000 copies in the US alone. The album spawned four singles: "Love Thang!!!", "Let Me Be the One", "Come Inside" and " Ribbon in the Sky". The album's lead single, "Love Thang!!!" peaked at 11 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 and No. 28 on the Hot R&B Songs charts. Intro is an American R&B trio from Brooklyn, New York City, New York & Queens, New York The trio consisted of members Jeff Sanders, Clinton "Buddy" Wike and lead singer/songwriter Kenny Greene. Formed in 1990, the group was discovered by DJ Eddie F, who signed the group to Untouchables Entertainment, and struck a deal with Atlantic Records in 1992. The group name is an acronym for "Innovative New Talent Reaching Out". The group had a string of US hits in the 1990s. Releasing two albums – 1993's '' Intro'' and 1995's ''New Life'' – they included the singles "Love Thang", "Let Me Be the One", a cover of Stevie Wonder's " Ribbon in the Sky", "Funny How Time Flies" and their highest-charting hit, "Come Inside". They additionally appeared on the Eddie F and the Untouchables collaboration album entitled ''Let's Get It On'' (in 1994), where their song "Never Again" was released as a single. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums is a music chart published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine that ranks R&B and hip-hop albums based on sales in the United States and is compiled by Luminate. The chart debuted as Hot R&B LPs in the issue dated January 30, 1965, in an effort by the magazine to further expand into the field of rhythm and blues music. Chris Gehringer (born May 27, 1962) is an American mastering engineer at Sterling Sound in New Jersey. Gehringer is known for having mastered recordings by popular artists such as AJR, Dua Lipa, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Gwen Stefani, Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Twenty One Pilots, Lana Del Rey, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, and many others. Roy Charles Hammond (August 3, 1939 – September 16, 2020), better known as Roy C or Roy "C", was an American southern soul singer, songwriter and record executive, best known for his 1965 hit, "Shotgun Wedding".
