Into The Night (Benny Mardones Song)
"Into the Night" is a song by American pop rock singer Benny Mardones from his album '' Never Run, Never Hide''. Inspired by an impoverished family Mardones met during the writing of the album, the lead single would go on to become a two-time top 20 hit, and a signature tune in Mardones' catalogue. Overview "Into the Night" is a song that deals in themes of abandonment and aiding, about helping to lift someone out of a tough situation. In an interview with YouTuber Professor of Rock before his passing, Mardones explains the origins of the song date back to the writing process for the '' Never Run, Never Hide'' album. He and songwriter Robert Tepper took a trip down to Miami, staying in an apartment while working on songs. He was neighbors with a family in the apartment; a mother, a father who worked in set design, two teen girls, and a teenaged boy. One day, the father walks out on the family, leaving the mother and children destitute. Mardones, wanting to help in any way he coul ...

Hey Venus!
''Hey Venus!'' is the eighth album by Welsh band Super Furry Animals. It was released on 27 August 2007 in the United Kingdom. ''Hey Venus!'' is the band's first full-length release on current label Rough Trade Records and, at just over 36 minutes, is also their shortest-running studio release. The title is taken from the first line of the song "Into the Night". The album was conceived as a "rowdy pop record", both in response to Rough Trade's request for "one of those pop records like you used to make" and as a result of the "very different atmosphere" the band encountered at shows on the ''Love Kraft'' tour when the 'slow' songs from that album were played. In contrast with many Super Furry Animals albums, no samplers were used during recording of ''Hey Venus!'' as the group made a conscious decision to create a "simple record" which "capture the spirit of the band playing live in a room". Dave Newfeld took over production duties from Mario Caldato Jr., who had worked on both ...

Tears On Tape
''Tears on Tape'' is the eighth and final studio album by Finnish rock band HIM, released 26 April 2013 in Finland, 29 April 2013 in Europe, and on 30 April 2013 in the US and Canada. Background At the beginning of 2011 HIM parted ways with Sire Records. In May the band began rehearsing songs for the full-length follow-up to 2010's '' Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice''. After a few months of rehearsals, the band's drummer, Mika Karppinen, began complaining of pain in his wrists. Medical examinations concluded that he had nerve damage in his hands and arms caused by repetitive stress. Karppinen was told by his doctors to stop drumming so that he would have time to heal. During this time the band's singer, Ville Valo, was said to have filled in on drums while working on new material. Subsequent treatments were successful and after about eight months the band was able to start rehearsing with Karppinen again. Rehearsals began in northern summer of 2012 and in September ...
