Into The Fight 2021
Into The Fight 2021 was a professional wrestling event promoted by DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT). It took place on February 28, 2021, in Tokyo, Japan, at Korakuen Hall. The event aired live on Fighting TV Samurai and on DDT's streaming service Wrestle Universe. Production Background Into The Fight is an event held each year since 2005 (except in 2006) at Korakuen Hall (except the 2015 edition which was held at Shinjuku Face). The 2021 edition was the sixteenth event under that name. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the show only had an attendance of 584 people whereas the previous editions held at Korakuen Hall generally attracted around 1,500 people. The official theme song of the event was " Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon. DDT Pro-Wrestling
is a Japanese professional wrestling promotion based in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Its name stands for Dramatic Dream Team, which was the promotion's official name from 1997 to 2004. Founded in March 1997 by Shintaro Muto, the promotion was eventually bought and managed by Shoichi Ichimiya until December 2005, when Sanshiro Takagi took over as the new president. Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), formerly known as Jersey Championship Wrestling (JCW), is an American independent professional wrestling promotion based in New Jersey. The is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the Japanese promotion CyberFight in its DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT) brand. Open to anyone, regardless of gender or DDT employment status, the championship is defended " 24/7", as in any time, anywhere, as long as a referee is there to confirm the win. Because of this rule, not only is the championship winnable regardless of gender or number of individuals (in case of a common pinfall or submission), it is also available to "unconventional" champions such as animals or inanimate objects, with title changes regularly occurring outside of regular shows, often with videos posted on the promotion's social media accounts.
