Into Eternity (album)
''Into Eternity'' is the debut studio album by the Canadian metal band, Into Eternity. The album was originally self-released by the band in 1999, then was re-released by DVS Records in 2000 with different coverart and one bonus track. The DVS version enlists Daniel Nargang (who would later share guitar and vocal duties with Tim Roth on the band's 2001 follow up '' Dead or Dreaming'') on guitar instead of Chris Eisler. The album is intertwined with audio excerpts from the 1994 film ''Pulp Fiction''. Into Eternity (band)
Into Eternity is a Canadian progressive metal band from Regina, Saskatchewan, formed in 1997 by Tim Roth, Scott Krall and Jim Austin. History First five albums Into Eternity was formed in 1997 by founding members Tim Roth, Scott Krall and Jim Austin and later released an eponymous, independent album in 1999, with the addition of Chris Eisler and Chris McDougall. The band signed to Century Media Records a year later and then re-released their debut album. In 2001, the band returned with their second album '' Dead or Dreaming'', an album which saw a more pronounced integration of progressive and death metal. The trend continued on 2004's '' Buried in Oblivion'' and even further on 2006's '' The Scattering of Ashes''. Into Eternity performed on Gigantour 2006, which kicked off in Boise, Idaho on September 6, 2006. Progressive Metal
Progressive metal (sometimes shortened to prog metal) is a broad :Fusion music genres, fusion music genre melding heavy metal music, heavy metal and progressive rock, combining the loud "aggression" and amplified electric guitar, guitar-driven sound of the former with the more experimental, cerebral or "pseudo-classical" compositions of the latter. Melodic Death Metal
Melodic death metal (also referred to as melodeath) is a subgenre of death metal that employs highly melodic guitar riffs, often borrowing from traditional heavy metal (including New Wave of British Heavy Metal). The genre features the heaviness of death metal but with highly melodic or harmonized guitar riffs and solos, and often features high-pitched shrieked vocals (differing from traditional death metal) alongside the low-pitched growls commonly featured in traditional death metal. Power Metal
Power metal is a subgenre of heavy metal combining characteristics of traditional heavy metal with speed metal, often within symphonic context. Generally, power metal is characterized by a faster, lighter, and more uplifting sound, in contrast with the heaviness and dissonance prevalent, for example, in extreme metal. Power metal bands usually have anthem-like songs with fantasy-based subject matter and strong choruses, thus creating a theatrical, dramatic and emotionally "powerful" sound. Thrash Metal
