Intimate Examination
A well-woman examination is an exam offered to women to review elements of their reproductive health. The exam includes a breast examination, a pelvic examination and a Pap smear but may also include other procedures. Hospitals employ strict policies relating to the provision of consent by the patient, the availability of chaperones at the examination, and the absence of other parties. Importance Although women often undergo well-woman examinations on an annual basis, the interval for this visit and exam will vary depending on the needs of the patient. The purpose of this exam in asymptomatic women is to screen for potential abnormalities, such as sexually transmitted diseases, and malignancy. Intimate Ion Pair
In chemistry, the intimate ion pair concept, introduced by Saul Winstein, describes the interactions between a cation, anion and surrounding solvent molecules. In ordinary aqueous solutions of inorganic salts, an ion is completely solvated and shielded from the counterion. In less polar solvents, two ions can still be connected to some extent. In a ''tight'', ''intimate'', or ''contact'' ion pair, there are no solvent molecules between the two ions. When solvation increases, ionic bonding decreases and a ''loose'' or ''solvent-shared'' ion pair results. The ion pair concept explains stereochemistry in solvolysis. The concept of intimate ion pairs is used to explain the slight tendency for inversion of stereochemistry during an S1 reaction. It is proposed that solvent or other ions in solution may assist in the removal of a leaving group to form a carbocation which reacts in an S1 fashion; similarly, the leaving group may associate loosely with the cationic intermediate. ... Depending on the meaning and values attributed to an object, anything could be considered intimate media. Great value is placed on intimate media possessions due to its ability to serve as "proof" that an event or memory actually occurred. Intimate Media In Relation To Technology "''Our memory and the stories we create, share, retell and live are a powerful way in which we determine and express who we are.''" In their chapter of ''The New Everyday: Views on Ambient Intelligence'', entitled Intimate Media: Emotional Needs and Ambient Intelligence, John Cass, Lorna Goulden, and Slava Kozlov discuss the ways in which humans, as they "become familiar with the potential of new technol ... Intimate Relationship
An intimate relationship is an interpersonal relationship that involves physical or emotional intimacy. Although an intimate relationship is commonly a sexual relationship, it may also be a non-sexual relationship involving family, friends, or acquaintances. Emotional intimacy involves feelings of closeness, relatedness, and vulnerability. This concept has been proven to be an essential aspect for a healthy relationship. Once deeper feelings of liking or loving one or more people arise, it may result in physical intimacy. However, emotional intimacy may or may not be present in physical intimacy depending on the depth of the relationship. Physical intimacy is characterized by romantic love, sexual activity, or other passionate attachment. These relationships play a central role in the overall human experience.Miller, Rowland & Perlman, Daniel (2008). ''Intimate Relationships (5th ed.)''. McGraw-Hill. Andrew Hamilton of AllMusic doesn't think ''Intimate'' rates with his albums from the 1970s, calling the results "merely adequate" but says it "is a fine comeback by Mr. Motown."
