''Interviú'' (a Spanish Anglicism for "interview") was a Spanish language weekly news magazine published in Madrid, Spain. It was in circulation between 1976 and 2018. History and profile ''Interviú'' was established in 1976 by a group led by Antonio Asensio Pizarro and Josep Llario. It was first published on 22 May 1976. The publisher of the magazine was Grupo Zeta which was also founded by Asensio Pizarro in 1976. The magazine was published weekly on Mondays, and its headquarters was in Madrid. The magazine was famous for publishing semi-nude and nude photographs of the rich and famous, sometimes using paparazzi photoshoots or posed pictorials (in this last case, normally women). It also published articles on political and economic scandals, and featured opinion pieces by famous writers. Its last issue was on 8 January 2018. Grupo Zeta
Grupo Zeta is a Spanish media conglomerate which owns several newspapers and magazines. Founded by Antonio Asensio in 1976, it launched the magazines ''Interviú'' and ''Tiempo'' before its most successful title, the daily newspaper ''El Periódico de Catalunya''. From 1986 to 2017, it owned the publishing house Ediciones B. In 2008, debts of €140 million led to the company making large redundancies and taking a €245 million loan. Grupo Zeta was acquired by Prensa Ibérica in 2019, a year after shutting down the physical copies of its first two magazines. Its assets at the time were eight newspapers and twelve magazines. Foundation and growth Antonio Asensio took over his family's phototypesetting business at the age of 18 in 1965, due to the death of his father. He four friends set up Grupo Zeta in March 1976 during the Spanish transition to democracy, starting with a capital of 500,000 Spanish pesetas. Magazines in Spain are varied and numerous, but they have small circulation. In terms of frequency, the Spanish magazines are mostly weekly and monthly. Although there are news magazines and political magazines in the country, they mostly focuses on entertainment, social events, sports, and television. There were many influential feminist magazines in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in the country. The first magazine of which the editor-in-chief was a woman was '' El Robespierre Español'' existed in the period 1811–1812. The number of the mainstream women's magazines intensified in the 1960s. As of 2014 there were also large number of aviation magazines in the country. The data by the General Media Survey found that in 2003 there were 137 magazines in Spain.
