Interrupted Streams
''Interrupted Streams'' he, זרמים קטועים ''Zramim Ktu'im'') is a 2010 documentary film co-directed by Swiss Alexandre Goetschmann and Academy Award Nominee Israeli Guy Davidi. Synopsis Paths of lives are crossed in one village in the West Bank. Along the broken water pipelines, villagers walk on their courses towards an indefinite future. Israel that controls the water, supplies only a small amount of water, and when the water streams are not certain nothing can evolve. The control over the water pressure not only dominates every aspect of life but also dominates the spirit. Bil'in, without spring water, is one of the first villages of the West Bank where a modern water infrastructure was set up. Guy Davidi
Guy Davidi ( he, גיא דוידי; born July 9, 1978) is an Israeli documentary filmmaker. His movie ''5 Broken Cameras'' was nominated for the 2013 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. Davidi also won the Best Directing Award along with Palestinian co-director Emad Burnat in the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and the 2013 international Emmy Award as well as numerous awards worldwide. Davidi was born in Jaffa and grew up in Holon and Kfar Saba in Israel. Early career On 2005, after several years of working as a camera man, Davidi began directing documentaries that focused on everyday life in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. In 2006, Davidi directed the documentary ''In Working Progress'', which dealt with the issue of Palestinian construction workers who worked in Israeli settlements. The Warsaw Jewish Film Festival ( pl, Warszawski Festiwal Filmów o Tematyce Żydowskiej) is an annual Jewish film festival held in Warsaw, Poland. Organized in 2003 by American film director , it was the first one of this type on Poland, and one of the first and largest in the Eastern Europe. The main idea of the festival is to present both the contemporary and traditional culture of the Jewish people. It is the continuation of the cultural tradition started with the Jewish Culture Festival in Kraków in 1988. Bil'in ( ar, بلعين) is a Palestinian village located in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate, west of the city of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
