Internet Dating Superstuds
''Internet Dating Superstuds'' is the ninth studio album by the southern California punk rock band The Vandals. An independent music video was filmed for the song "43210-1." Much of the album is characterized by the pop-punk music and humorous lyrics for which the band is known. Its title, artwork and bonus features satirize several aspects of internet culture. The song lyrics printed in the album's liner notes are all partially obscured by depictions of popup ads similar to those encountered while web surfing. As a promotion for the album, the band members held an online contest in which four fans each won a "date" with one of the band members. These "dates" were videotaped and including in the enhanced CD-ROM portion of the CD. Other bonus content in this portion of the album includes a photo gallery and unobscured lyrics. Pop-up ads or pop-ups are forms of online advertising on the World Wide Web. A pop-up is a graphical user interface (GUI) display area, usually a small window, that suddenly appears ("pops up") in the foreground of the visual interface. Dave Quackenbush
The Vandals are an American punk rock band, established in 1980 in Orange County, California. They have released ten full-length studio albums, three live albums, three live DVDs and have toured the world extensively, including performances on the Vans Warped Tour. They are well known for their use of humor, preferring to use their music as a vehicle for comedy and sarcasm rather than as a platform for more serious issues. Joshua Ryan Freese (born December 25, 1972) is an American drummer. A member of punk rock band the Vandals since 1989, Freese has also been a member of new wave band Devo since 1996. He was previously a member of hard rock band Guns N' Roses from 1997 to 1999, of rock band Foo Fighters from 2023 to 2025 and a member of alternative rock band A Perfect Circle from 1999 to 2012, the latter of which he rejoined in 2024. A prolific session and touring drummer, Freese has appeared on over 400 albums since 1986 and performed live with artists including Nine Inch Nails, Weezer, Sublime with Rome, Sting, 311, 100 gecs, the Offspring and Danny Elfman. The Ataris are an American punk rock band from Anderson, Indiana. Formed in 1996, they released five studio albums between 1997 and 2007. Audio Karate
Audio Karate is an American rock band from Rosemead, California. History Audio Karate signed to Kung Fu Records in fall 2001. They put out their debut album, ''Space Camp'', on May 14, 2002. The album featured the songs "Nintendo 89," "Rosemead," and "Senior Year." After the release of ''Space Camp'', Audio Karate toured the world with bands such as The Ataris, NOFX, Blink-182. In November and December, the group went on the Kung Fu Records 2002 tour in the US and UK alongside The Vandals and Tsunami Bomb. This was followed by a European leg in January and February 2003. Tsunami Bomb
The tsunami bomb was an attempt during World War II to develop a tectonic weapon that could create destructive tsunamis. The project commenced after United States Navy officer E.A. Gibson noticed small waves generated by explosions used to clear coral reefs. The idea was developed by the United States and New Zealand military in a program code named Project Seal. The weapons concept was deemed feasible, but the weapons themselves were never fully developed or used. A related concept, the bouncing bomb ''was'' developed and used in World War II, to be dropped into water as a means to destroy German dams and cause loss of industrial capacity and widespread flooding.
