International University Of Management
The International University of Management (IUM) is a private, state-recognized university based in Windhoek, Namibia. It has campuses in Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, Ongwediva and Nkurenkuru. History The university was founded by David Namwandi in 1994 with one professor and one student in Windhoek North. Namwandi also served as IUM's vice-chancellor from 2001 until he was appointed deputy Minister of Education in 2010. The IUM vice-chancellor position was taken over by Namwandi's wife, Virginia. In 2002 IUM it was accorded university status. It opened another campus in the Dorado Park neighbourhood of Windhoek in April 2011. Shekutaamba Väinö yaVäinö Nambala (born 5 August 1952, Onewawa, Onyaanya, Ondonga, Namibia) is a Namibian bishop, currently holding the title of bishop emeritus of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia. He was formerly the Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia and consecrated Bishop of the Western Diocese in 2012. Windhoek (, , ) is the capital and largest city of Namibia. It is located in central Namibia in the Khomas Highland plateau area, at around above sea level, almost exactly at the country's geographical centre. Pendukeni "Penny" Iivula-Ithana (born 11 October 1952) is a Namibian politician who served as the secretary general of SWAPO, Namibia's ruling party, from 2007 to 2012. She was a member of the Constituent Assembly of Namibia in 1989 and has been a member of Parliament and member of cabinet since independence in 1990. Iivula-Ithana served in several ministerial positions over a span of three decades. Her last ministerial post was in the interior ministry. Hifikepunye Lucas Pohamba (born 18 August 1936) is a Namibian politician who served as the second president of Namibia from 21 March 2005 to 21 March 2015. He won the 2004 presidential election overwhelmingly as the candidate of SWAPO, and was reelected in 2009. Pohamba was the president of SWAPO from 2007 until his retirement in 2015. Richard David Namwandi (born February 28, 1954) is a Namibian politician and academic. He served as the Minister of Education from 2013 to 2015 and is the founder of the International University of Management (IUM). He is a member of SWAPO, Namibia's ruling party.
