The nature of the world has been conceptualized differently in different fields. Some conceptions see the world as unique while others talk of a "plurality of worlds". Some treat the world as #Monism and pluralism, one simple object while others analyze the world as a complex made up of many parts. In ''#Scientific cosmology, scientific cosmology'' the world or universe is commonly defined as "[t]he totality of all space and time; all that is, has been, and will be". ''#Theories of modality, Theories of modality'', on the other hand, talk of possible worlds as complete and consistent ways how things could have been. ''#Phenomenology, Phenomenology'', starting from the horizon of co-given objects present in the periphery of every experience, defines the world as the biggest horizon or the "horizon of all horizons". Index Of Economic Freedom
The ''Index of Economic Freedom'' is an annual index and ranking created in 1995 by The Heritage Foundation and ''The Wall Street Journal'' to measure the degree of economic freedom in the world's nations. The creators of the index claim to take an approach inspired by that of Adam Smith in ''The Wealth of Nations'', that "basic institutions that protect the liberty of individuals to pursue their own economic interests result in greater prosperity for the larger society". Purpose The Heritage Foundation website states that "Economic freedom is the fundamental right of every human to control his or her own labor and property. In an economically free society, individuals are free to work, produce, consume, and invest in any way they please. In economically free societies, governments allow labor, capital, and goods to move freely, and refrain from coercion or constraint of liberty beyond the extent necessary to protect and maintain liberty itself." List Of Countries By Suicide Rate
The following are lists of countries by suicide rate as published by the World Health Organization (WHO) and other sources. About one person in 5,000–15,000 dies by suicide every year, with an estimated global rate of 10.5 per 100,000 population down from 11.6 in 2008. In high-income modernized countries male and female rates of suicidal behaviors differ much compared to those in the rest of the world: while women are reportedly more prone to suicidal thoughts, rates of suicide are higher among men, which has been described as a "silent epidemic". A study in 2019 found that between 1990 and 2016 global age-standardized suicide rates fell by a third; the rates in 2016 were about 16 deaths per 100,000 men and 7 deaths per 100,000 women. Women experienced a greater decrease compared with men over the study period. As such, suicide rates may be higher than measured, with men more at risk of committing suicide than women across nearly all cultures and backgrounds. Suicide prevent ... List Of Countries By Life Expectancy
Methodology The life expectancy is shown separately for males and for females, as well as a combined figure. Several non- sovereign entities and territories are also included in this list. From the beginning of the current century there is a tendency to also estimate Healthy life expectancy (HALE) — the average number of years that a person can expect to live in "full health". List Of Countries By Death Rate
This article includes two versions of the list of countries by crude mortality rate. Methodology Crude mortality rate refers to the number of deaths over a given period divided by the person-years lived by the population over that period. It contains the crude death rate of 236 countries and territories in 2011. The second list is based on CIA World Factbook 2020 pre-Covid estimates. Many developing countries have far higher proportions of young people, and lower proportions of older people, than some developed countries, and thus may have much higher age-specific mortality rates while having lower crude mortality rates. Table See also *List of countries by infant and under-five mortality rates The under-five mortality rate (U5MR) is the number of deaths of infants and children ...
