International Playwriting Festival
The International Play writing Festival was founded in 1986 by Steve Gooch and Ted Craig and was hosted by the new playwriting theatre, Warehouse Theatre until the Warehouse Theater Company Limited went into administration in May 2012. The Festival acted to ensure its reputation and continuation and is now under the umbrella of a new company, Warehouse Phoenix Limited. The IPF is held in two parts: the first is a competition with entries accepted from all over the world, which are judged by a panel of distinguished theater practitioners. The second is a celebration and a showcase of the selected plays which is performed the following May. The IPF has two international partners - Extra Candoni, Udine, Italy, and Theatro Ena, Nicosia, Cyprus representing Italian and Greek new writing. Ted Craig FRSA (born 20 April 1948) is an Australian-born theatre director lately the artistic director of the Warehouse Theatre, South London, England. Biography Craig was born and educated in Melbourne, Australia. Thelma Holt
Thelma Holt (born 4 January 1932) is a British theatre producer and former actress. After a successful career as an actress, in partnership with Charles Marowitz, Thelma founded the Open Space Theatre in Tottenham Court Road, London, which became the forerunner of the London fringe. In 1977, joined The Round House in Chalk Farm as Artistic and Executive Director. There she instigated a policy of bringing the best of regional theatre to London: Citizens Theatre (Glasgow), Royal Exchange Theatre Company (Manchester), Stephen Joseph Theatre Company, Scarborough. She gave London the opportunity to see some of the successful productions initiated at the Edinburgh Festival. ''Becoming Jane'' is a 2007 biographical film, biographical Romance film, romantic Drama (film and television), drama film directed by Julian Jarrold. ''Silent Witness'' is a British crime drama television series produced by the BBC, which focuses on a team of forensic pathology experts and their investigations into various crimes. Richard Vincent (playwright)
Richard Vincent (born 3 September 1969) is an English actor, playwright, theatre director and screenwriter from Croydon in London. Life Vincent trained as an actor at the Drama Centre, London. His first play, "Off the Bone", was produced at the Courtyard Theatre in 1994. "Real Estate" was a selected play at the 1994 International Playwriting Festival at the Warehouse Theatre, Croydon and was produced at the Teatro Colosseo, Rome and developed into a screenplay by Granada Film. Theatre Vincent enjoyed an ongoing relationship with the Warehouse Theatre: his plays "Skin Deep" and "Happy and Glorious" have been produced there and he is Associate Director and head of their writers' workshop.
