International Cultural Jamboree
International Cultural Jamboree was held on 21–27 December 2022 at Alva's Education Foundation Moodabidri, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka State, an International Cultural Jamboree is the part of the Scout Movement, the theme of this Jamboree is ''Culture for Youth Solidarity'', typically attended by fifty thousands of Scout and Guide, Rovers and Rangers between the age of 12 to 22 years from 17 countries. The purpose of the International Cultural Jamboree is to encourage youth to live in harmony and with one another. Introducing them to numerous concepts and ideals from various cultures, traditions, and ways of life, helps young people acquire knowledge and abilities. Additionally, it tries to increase young people's tolerance for social and cultural differences. Moodabidri ( kn, ಮೂಡುಬಿದಿರೆ ''Mūḍubidire''; also called Mudbidri, Moodbidre and Bedra), is a town and taluk in Dakshina Kannada district. World Organization Of The Scout Movement
The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM ) is the largest international Scouting organization. WOSM has 173 members. These members are recognized national Scout organizations, which collectively have around 43 million participants. WOSM was established in 1922, and has its operational headquarters at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and its legal seat in Geneva, Switzerland. It is the counterpart of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). The WOSM's current stated mission is "to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Scout Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society". Scout And Guide Graduate Association
The Scout and Guide Graduate Association (SAGGA) is an association in the United Kingdom of Scouts and Guides who, largely, were former members of University or College Scout and Guide Clubs, or University Rover Scout crews. It exists to provide skilled service to Scouting and Guiding. SAGGA's membership mainly resides in the UK, with some members overseas. History SAGGA was formed on 21 April 1957, and was originally nicknamed the "Peter Pan Club". The association was an affiliated organisation of both Girlguiding UK and the Scout Association, but in 1988 it was de-affiliated by both associations. SAGGA celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2007, with special celebrations at the association's Annual Gathering and AGM. In Scouting, a jamboree is a large gathering of Scouting, Scouts who rally at a national or international level. History The 1st World Scout Jamboree was held in 1920, and was hosted by the United Kingdom. Since then, there have been twenty-three other World Scout Jamborees, hosted in various countries, generally every four years. The 25th World Jamboree is to be held in Korea in 2023. There are also national and continental jamborees held around the world with varying frequency. Many of these events will invite and attract Scouts from overseas. Scouting Jamborees
Scouting, also known as the Scout Movement, is a worldwide youth movement employing the Scout method, a program of informal education with an emphasis on practical outdoor activities, including camping, woodcraft, aquatics, hiking, backpacking, and sports. Another widely recognized movement characteristic is the Scout uniform, by intent hiding all differences of social standing in a country and encouraging equality, with neckerchief and campaign hat or comparable headwear.
