International Association For Cross-Cultural Psychology
The International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP) is an international learned society dedicated to advancing research in cross-cultural psychology, and to facilitating communication among researchers in the field. It was founded in 1972 in Hong Kong. As of 2016, it was based at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. As of 2018, it has over 800 members from over 65 different countries. It is affiliated with the International Union of Psychological Science and the International Association of Applied Psychology. International Association Of Applied Psychology
The International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP) was created in 1919 by Édouard Claparède under the name of International Association of Psychotechnics (Association Internationale de Psychotechnique) and the secretary general was Jean-Maurice Lahy. The present name was adopted in 1955. The current president is Christine Roland-Lévy. Members are individuals with an expertise in applied psychology. International Congresses of Applied Psychology (ICAP) are organized every four years; the last one was held in Montreal, Canada, 2018. There was a special Centennial Congress of Applied Psychology (CCAP) in Cancun, Mexico, scheduled for December 13–17, 2020, to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of IAAP. The International Union of Psychological Science, abbreviated IUPsyS or the Union, is the global umbrella organization for psychology. History Starting in 1889, an International Congress of Psychology has been held every few years. The International Congress of Psychology committee was established to organize this.
