Internacional Foot-Ball Club
The Internacional Foot-ball Club was a football team based in Madrid, Spain, which existed only in 1903. Its predecessor was the New Foot-Ball Club, disappearing just three months later when it merged with Moderno-Madrid FC (now Real Madrid). Beginnings The Sky Foot-Ball Club, founded in 1897, gave rise to some of the first clubs in the capital, such as Madrid FC in 1900, Español de Madrid in 1901, and a year later, at end of 1902, and in the midst of the dispute over the Concurso de Bandas, the club's situation became complicated again when a new and definitive split in society led to the disappearance of the dean Madrid club, giving rise to a new one: the Internacional Foot-ball Club in 1903. The club's first members were joined by half a dozen English players as reinforcements, and they played their first game against Madrid FC, which was now the oldest club in Madrid and who also reinforced by former New players. William MacAndrews (footballer)
William McAndrews (1872 – 1944), sometimes misspelled as William MacAndrews, was a Scottish football pioneer who played as a midfielder for some of the earliest Catalan clubs in existence such as ''Barcelona Cricket Club'' and ''Barcelona Football Club''. Playing career Born in Scotland, McAndrews moved to Barcelona in the late 1880s due to work reasons, and like so many other Britons who moved to the Catalan capital, he soon joined the ''British Club of Barcelona'' on ''La Rambla dels Capuchins'', where he practiced several sports. In 1891, together with Henry Wood, and the Morris (Jaime and Samuel, he was a founder of the ''Barcelona Cricket Club'', one of the many branches of the British Club. Football Pitch
A football pitch (also known as soccer field) is the playing surface for the game of association football. Its dimensions and markings are defined by Law 1 of the Laws of the Game, "The Field of Play". The pitch is typically made of natural turf or artificial turf, although amateur and recreational teams often play on dirt fields. Artificial surfaces are allowed only to be green in colour. All line markings on the pitch form part of the area which they define. For example, a ball on or above the touchline is still on the field of play, and a foul committed over the line bounding the penalty area results in a penalty. Therefore, a ball has to completely cross the touchline to be out of play, and a ball has to wholly cross the goal line (between the goal posts) in order for a goal to be scored; if any part of the ball is still on or above the line, a goal is not scored and the ball is still in play. Eugenio Vallarino de Iraola (13 November 1886 – 31 December 1919) was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for Madrid FC and Real Valladolid. His older brother Manuel Vallarino also played for Madrid FC. Playing career New FC Born in Madrid, Vallarino began his football career at New Foot-Ball Club, one of the first football clubs in the capital, joining its ranks in 1902, aged 16, during a time in which his older brother Manuel was serving as the club's president. When Madrid FC endorsed a tournament in the capital for the May festivities, which became known as ''Copa de la Coronación'', the forerunner of the Copa del Rey founded a year later, his brother Manuel organized a series of matches between the club's members as part of New's build-up to the tournament, and Eugenio played in two of these matches, on 30 March and 6 April 1902. The Campeonato Regional Centro (Spanish for Central Regional Championship) was an important annual association football competition for clubs based primarily in the Castile region of Spain, including the Community of Madrid, during the first half of the 20th century.
