Interlude (Timi Yuro Song)
"Interlude" is a 1968 song written and composed by Georges Delerue and Hal Shaper and originally performed by American soul singer Timi Yuro. It is the title track for the 1968 film of the same name. In 1994, the song was covered in a duet by Morrissey and Siouxsie Sioux and released as a single in August of that year by EMI. It was presented under the banner of "Morrissey & Siouxsie". Morrissey and Siouxsie version Background "Interlude" was recorded during the recording sessions for Morrissey's ''Vauxhall and I'' album in summer 1993 at Hook End Manor, and was produced by Morrissey guitarist and musical director Boz Boorer. Steven Patrick Morrissey (; born 22 May 1959), known professionally as Morrissey, is an English singer and songwriter. He came to prominence as the frontman and lyricist of rock band the Smiths, who were active from 1982 to 1987. Since then, he has pursued a successful solo career. Roger Mayne (5 May 1929 – 7 June 2014) was an English photographer, best known for his documentation of the children of Southam Street, London. Life and work Born in Cambridge, Mayne studied Chemistry at Balliol College, Oxford University. Here he became interested in photographic processing, and met Hugo van Wadenoyen, a key figure in British photography's break with pictorialism. ''Very Best of Morrissey'' is a compilation album by Morrissey, containing material he released during the 1980s and 1990s on EMI. It was released on 25 April 2011. About the album The album covers material released between his 1988 debut album ''Viva Hate'' and his 1995 single " Boxers". The track listing bears a slight resemblance to that of 1997's '' Suedehead: The Best of Morrissey''. The album also features a solo version of "Interlude" without Siouxsie Sioux. Strangely, it includes just one track from 1994's ''Vauxhall and I'', Morrissey's commercial and critical high watermark. All tracks have been remastered for the album. The album did not chart in the top 75 but did reach number 80 on the UK Albums Chart. Simon Goddard (born Cardiff, 21 December 1971) is a British author and music journalist. He was born in Wales, later moving to Scotland. Though a writer by profession, Goddard originally went to art school in Carlisle, Cumbria, Carlisle, then Hull School of Art and Design, Hull, and briefly considered a career in visual media.
