Interisland Airlines is an air charter company headquartered in Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay, Manila, the Philippines. It is a subsidiary of Interisland Resorts & Services, Inc. and provides domestic and international charter services carrying passengers and cargo. History Interisland Airlines was founded in 1986 as Interisland Air Services Incorporated. The airline was founded by Luke and Consuelo Helgen. Soon after, other people joined the company from Interisland Resorts & Services Incorporated: Lydia Dizon acting as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Gloria Belen acting as Trustee, and Marcelo Rivera as the Chief Operating Officer. The airline started as charter services company with 2 Bell 206 Helicopters, both Long Ranger and Jetranger, and 4 private jets from Aero Commander, Cessna, Dassault, Bell & Pilatus Aircraft. The European Union (EU) publishes a list of air carriers that are banned from entering the airspace of any of its member states, usually for failing to meet EU regulatory oversight standards. The Yakovlev Yak-40 (russian: Яковлев Як-40; NATO reporting name: Codling) is a regional jet designed by Yakovlev. The trijet's maiden flight was in 1966, and it was in production from 1967 to 1981. Introduced in September 1968, the Yak-40 has been exported since 1970. The Antonov An-12 (Russian: Антонов Ан-12; NATO reporting name: Cub) is a four-engined turboprop transport aircraft designed in the Soviet Union. It is the military version of the Antonov An-10 and has many variants. For more than three decades the An-12 was the standard medium-range cargo and paratroop transport aircraft of the Soviet air forces. A total of 1,248 were eventually built.
