Intergenerational Fairness Day
The Intergenerational Fairness Day (IFD) is celebrated annually on 16 November and was proclaimed as a worldwide day of action by an international network of non-partisan organisations that exist to protect the rights of younger and future generations. According to the organising network, the day was created with the goal of being recognised by the United Nations as an official international day. The UN observes various days to commemorate efforts in favour of human rights, climate, or youth (e.g., Children's Day, World Children's Day – 20th November, Human Rights Day – 10th December, International Women's Day – 8th March, World Water Day – 22th March, etc.). The Letters Of Utrecht
''The Letters of Utrecht'' () form an endless poem in the stones of a street in the center of the Dutch city of Utrecht. Every Saturday at 13:00, the next letter is hewn into the next cobblestone, with the intent to continue for as long as there are Saturdays. It takes about three years to publish an average sentence. Every year the poem grows by about five meters. Every few years another poet extends the poem. The poem The poem is created by members of Utrechts Guild of Poets and was started by Ruben van Gogh, Ingmar Heytze, Chrétien Breukers, Alexis de Roode, and Ellen Deckwitz. The poem was continued in February 2013 by Mark Boog, in December 2015 by the Iraqi-Dutch Baban Kirkuki, in December 2018 by Vicky Francken, in March 2022 Anne Broeksma. Generation Squeeze (also known as GenSqueeze) is a Canadian, non-partisan, non-profit organization that advocates on behalf of young adults. The organization claims to have modeled itself after CARP, an organization that advocates for Canadians 45 and older. Generation Squeeze stated purpose is to provide a voice for younger Canadians in the world of politics and the marketplace. The organization has been involved in advocacy related to the issues of affordable childcare, housing, wages, transit, and government spending on youth. The Intergenerational Foundation
The Intergenerational Foundation (IF) is a charitable UK-based thinktank established to promote fairness between generations. IF believe that each generation should pay its own way, which - they claim - is not happening at present. They postulate that British policy-makers have given undue advantages to the older generation at the expense of younger and future generations.
