Integral (train)
The Integral is a diesel multiple unit (DMU) train type operated by Regiobahn GmbH on commuter services in North Rhine-Westphalia. Between 1998 and 2020, they were operated by the Bayerische Oberlandbahn on regional services between Munich, Bayrischzell, Lenggries and Tegernsee. They were built by the now defunct Jenbacher Werke. Formation Each Integral unit consists of five sections, formed as shown in table below. The two "FGZ" sections are suspended between the end- and intermediate cars. Technical specifications The trains are powered by diesel-hydraulic motors. One end car has all wheelsets powered, the other end car has only one powered wheelset. All six wheelsets use active radial steering. The trains are able to run in multiple unit formation. Jenbacher Werke
INNIO Jenbacher designs and manufactures gas engines and cogeneration modules in the Austrian town of Jenbach in Tyrol. It is part of the INNIO portfolio of products and is one of their gas engine technologies; the other being Waukesha Engines. Jenbacher emerged from the former Jenbacher Werke, which was founded in 1959 and manufactured gas and diesel engines, and locomotives. The company was bought out by General Electric in 2003. In November 2018 the company became part of INNIO as part of an acquisition of Advent International and was renamed INNIO Jenbacher GmbH & Co. OHG. A multiple-unit train or simply multiple unit (MU) is a self-propelled train composed of one or more carriages joined together, which when coupled to another multiple unit can be controlled by a single driver, with multiple-unit train control. Although multiple units consist of several carriages, single self-propelled carriages – also called railcars, rail motor coaches or railbuses – are in fact multiple-units when two or more of them are working connected through multiple-unit train control (regardless if passengers can walk between the units or not). S28 (Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn)
The S28 ''Regiobahn'' is a S-Bahn line in the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn network. It is operated by '' Transdev Rheinland GmbH'' as a subcontractor of '' Regiobahn Fahrbetriebsgesellschaft mbH'' (''Regiobahn'' for short), who is the PSO operator on behalf of Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR). The line begins in Wuppertal Hauptbahnhof, then uses the branch line via Mettmann Stadtwald; then it runs through Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof branching off to Kaarst after passing through Neuss Hauptbahnhof. Its western terminus is Kaarster See. The line is operated using Integral S5D95 DMUs at 20-minute intervals, with only two trains an hour running between Mettmann and Wuppertal. Jenbach is a municipality in the district of Schwaz in the Austrian state of Tyrol (state), Tyrol. A diesel locomotive is a type of railway locomotive in which the prime mover is a diesel engine. Several types of diesel locomotives have been developed, differing mainly in the means by which mechanical power is conveyed to the driving wheels. Early internal combustion locomotives and railcars used kerosene and gasoline as their fuel. Rudolf Diesel patented his first compression-ignition engine in 1898, and steady improvements to the design of diesel engines reduced their physical size and improved their power-to-weight ratios to a point where one could be mounted in a locomotive. Bayerische Oberlandbahn
The Bayerische Oberlandbahn GmbH (BOB) is a private railway company based in Holzkirchen, Germany, and owned by Transdev Germany (formerly known as ''Veolia Verkehr'').
