''Intaqam'' () is a 1969 Bollywood thriller film directed by R. K. Nayyar. It starred Sanjay Khan and Sadhana in the lead, supported by Ashok Kumar, Rehman, Jeevan, Rajendra Nath, Helen and Anju Mahendru. The film also features the iconic and first cabaret number sung by Lata Mangeshkar, "Aa Jaane Jaan", also a rarity through her career. The song was choreographed by P. L. Raj. It remains one of the most popular dance numbers of Helen's career. The music was composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal, with lyrics by Rajinder Krishan and was popular with songs like "Hum Tumhare Liye, Tum Hamare Liye". Anju Mahendru is an Indian actress. She is best known as Reeva in ''Kahiin to Hoga'', Kamini Gupta in '' Kasautii Zindagii Kay'' and Beeji in ''Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai''. "Aa Jaan-E-Jaan" (English: Come here, my dear) is a song from the 1969 Hindi film ''Intaqam''. It is one of the few cabaret songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar, and was a popular song in India from the 1960s. It was picturised on Helen. Background Lata Mangeshkar did not like singing cabaret songs and music directors would usually prefer Asha Bhosle for singing them. This song is an exception. The song was tuned and styled in accordance with Lata's style and preference. When asked about the song Lata Mangeshkar laughed and said, "I remember telling Laxmikant not to give me any cabaret songs to sing. He assured me I could sing it without a hitch. Asit Sen (13 May 1917 – 18 September 1993) was an Indian film director turned famous comedian in the Hindi film industry.
