Instant Karma (band)
Instant Karma is an Indian band formed by Ehsaan Noorani, Loy Mendonsa and Farhad Wadia most popular for its albums Dance Masti and its sequels. According to them, they do "versions, not remixes" History Instant Karma was formed after Bally Sagoo came out with his album of versions Bollywood Flashback in mid 1990s. Ehsaan and Loy thought of starting a band to do something comparable, if not better. They just did a couple songs one of them being Dil Kya Kare and forgot about them. Then Sony Music marketed Dil Kya Kare and it was a huge hit. After that Ehsaan, Loy and Farhad started with Instant Karma and compiling albums regularly. Instant Karma employed many talented voices such as Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Sagarika, Zubeen Garg, Mahalakshmi Iyer Mahalakshmi Iyer is an Indian playback singer, best known for her Hindi, Assamese and Tamil songs. Ehsaan Noorani
Ehsaan Noorani is an Indian composer and guitarist. Music career Noorani is the part of the ''Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy'' trio, which consist of Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa and himself. He was the guitarist for many music directors before he himself started composing music. Ehsaan studied music with Mr. Bismarck Rodrigues, an experienced guitar teacher from Mumbai (Bombay). Ehsaan studied music at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California from 1985 to 1986 . Ehsaan is the first guitarist from India to be endorsed by Fender guitars and has a Squier signature model to his name. He also endorses Fractal Audio and D'Addario strings . Loy Mendonsa
Loy Mendonsa is an Indian music director and part of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio which consist of himself, Shankar Mahadevan and Ehsaan Noorani. Before becoming a music composer, he played piano and keyboards for famous Indian music composers such as A. R. Rahman and Nadeem-Shravan. His daughter, Alyssa Mendonsa, made her singing debut with the song ''Uff Teri Adaa'' from the movie Karthik Calling Karthik. Loy Mendonsa started his career by composing the signature tune for 'The World This Week' show on Doordarshan. Baljit Singh "Bally" Sagoo ( Punjabi: ਬਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੱਗੂ, born 19 May 1964) is a British-Indian record producer and DJ. Born in Delhi, India, Sagoo was raised in Birmingham, England. He entered the recording and entertainment industries in 1989. He is the figurehead of the UK/Belgium-based entertainment company, Fresh Dope Industries. Early life Sagoo grew up in the Balsall Heath area of Birmingham. His father Saminder Sagoo ran his own retail music outlet in the 1970s, after playing in The Musafirs in the late 1960s.
