Inspiration (1928 Film)
''Inspiration'' is a 1928 American silent film, silent drama film directed by Bernard McEveety and starring George Walsh, Gladys Frazin and Marguerite Clayton.Munden p.381 It is also known by the alternative title of ''Love's Test''. Synopsis When he is falsely accused of having fathered a child with another woman, a man is abandoned by his fiancée and disinherited by his father. He leaves for China. There he meets a dancer, Carlita, who persuades him to return home and establish the truth, despite the fact she herself loves him. Bernard McEveety
Bernard E. McEveety, Jr. (May 13, 1924 – February 2, 2004) was an American film and television director. Family McEveety was born in New Rochelle, New York; his brothers, Vincent McEveety and Joseph McEveety were also Hollywood directors and producers. His nephew is producer Stephen McEveety, who often collaborates with Mel Gibson (''The Passion of the Christ''). Career McEveety worked primarily in TV, but also directed several feature films. He directed '' The Brotherhood of Satan'' and ''Ride Beyond Vengeance'', and did second-unit work on another cult horror film, ''The Return of Dracula''. McEveety's huge TV output included 31 episodes of the TV series ''Combat!''. He also directed Jodie Foster in her debut film, Disney's ''Napoleon and Samantha''. Bradley Barker
Bradley Barker (January 18, 1883 – September 29, 1951) was an American actor and film director of the silent era. He also created sound effects for film and radio. Born in Long Island, New York, Barker was a vaudeville performer and an actor in stock theater. He appeared in 70 films between 1915 and 1928. He also directed seven films between 1929 and 1930. After he worked as an actor, Barker began creating sound effects for radio programs and films. He provided the sound of the MGM lion on screen before the studio began using a recording of a real lion and provided sounds of a variety of animals on radio. Radio programs on which he worked included ''Let's Pretend'' and ''Little Orphan Annie''. On September 29, 1951, Barker died at his home in New York City at age 68. Bernice Vere (1 July 1900 – 13 March 1972) was an English-born stage, playwright, director, and film actress. She emigrated to Australia when she turned 12. She started performing on stage in Australia until the movie-producing team of E.J. Carroll and Snowy Baker discovered her. They cast her in the silent feature The Shadow of Lightning Ridge, where she acted alongside American actress Agnes Vernon. Vere immigrated to the United States and married a prominent American writer while continuing her career as a stock actor. Her last motion picture was the silent feature released in 1928. After her last film, she returned to the stage. She continued acting with several repertoire companies in the United States, developing into a playwright and Director. She died in New Jersey in 1972. Walter Francis "Buddy" Harris (December 5, 1948 – November 5, 2022) was an American professional baseball player. A right-handed pitcher, he worked in 22 games as a relief pitcher for the – Houston Astros of Major League Baseball. Harris graduated from Roxborough High School in Philadelphia PA (where he excelled in basketball as well as baseball) and attended the University of Miami and Philadelphia University. He stood tall and weighed during his active career. Harris was selected by the Houston Astros in the first round (15th overall) of the secondary phase in the June 1968 Major League Baseball Draft. ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب; 600 – 661 CE) was the last of four Rightly Guided Caliphs to rule Islam (r. 656 – 661) immediately after the death of Muhammad, and he was the first Shia Imam.
