Insinger, Saskatchewan is an Unincorporated area#Canada, unincorporated area in the List of rural municipalities in Saskatchewan, rural municipality of Insinger No. 275, Saskatchewan, in the Canada, Canadian Provinces and territories of Canada, province of Saskatchewan. Insinger is located on Saskatchewan Highway 16, Saskatchewan Highway 16, the Yellowhead in south eastern Saskatchewan. Lawrie post office first opened in 1898 at the legal land description of Sec.6, Twp.29, R.7, W2. It changed names in 1907 to Insinger and moved to Sec.21, Twp.29, R.8, W2 . The population is smaller than a hamlet, and is counted within the Insinger No. 275, Saskatchewan, however it is still listed as a village at Geonames. Insinger is located between Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Yorkton and Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, Foam Lake. Insinger is located within of Whitesand Regional Park. Insinger Gilissen, previously known as Insinger de Beaufort, is an Anglo-Dutch private bank providing private banking, wealth management and private planning to high-net-worth individuals and some institutional clients. In 2016 it merged with Theodoor Gilissen Bankiers to become Insinger Gilissen. Since 1 January 2017 Insinger Gilissen has been part of Quintet Private Bank. History The roots of the bank go back to the 18th century, when the founder of the bank German Herman Albrecht Insinger (1757-1805) came to Amsterdam aged 11 years old. In 1779 together with merchant Paulus Prins he established the company ''Insinger en Prins''. He left for the Caribbean as agent for a family that had provided mortgage loans to plantations. He came back to Amsterdam in 1782 and Insinger & Co, as it had then been renamed, continued to concentrate on business in the West Indies and the lending to plantations. Insinger Papyrus (''Papyrus Insinger'') is a papyrus find from ancient Egypt and contains one of the oldest extant writings about Egyptian wisdom teachings (Sebayt). The manuscript is dated to around the 2nd century AD and the main part is kept at the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden. Contents The Insinger Papyrus is a fragmented papyrus scroll with the beginning and end of the scroll missing, the size is about 612 × 27.5 cm (241 × 10,5 inches). The text is written on the rectoside. The text is an example of the ancient Egyptian literature genre wisdom teachings (Sebayt) and shows that Egyptian traditions persisted even under foreign rule and how they were adapted to the requirements of new times. The manuscript is a collection of writings and includes 25 surviving chapters. The scripture is broken down into different themes with numbered chapters and contains over 800 maxims.
