''Inside Voices / Outside Voices'' is the fourth studio album by American singer, songwriter, and rapper K.Flay. The album was released on February 4, 2022 by BMG Rights Management, and includes tracks from K.Flay's previous ''Inside Voices'' and ''Outside Voices'' extended plays, in addition to two exclusive tracks, "The Muck" and "Good to Drive". It features Travis Barker and Tom Morello. Background On November 10, 2022, the album was released in the format of a vinyl LP. The two EPs and album received mainly positive reviews. ''Inside Voices / Outside Voices'' spawned a thirteen-stop tour entitled The Inside Voices / Outside Voices Tour, which lasted from February 10, 2022, to April 9. In addition, a second month-long tour was announced, entitled K.Flay: Fall Tour, but it was cancelled due to her then-recent diagnosis of sensorineural hearing loss and labyrinthitis. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. ''Alternative Press'' is an American entertainment magazine primarily focused on music and culture, now based in Los Angeles, CA. It generally provides readers with band interviews, photos, and relevant news. It was founded in 1985 by Mike Shea in Cleveland, OH. The company is now looked after by MDDN. Beginnings The first issue of ''Alternative Press'' was distributed at concerts in Cleveland, Ohio beginning in June 1985 by ''APs founder, Mike Shea to advocate bands playing underground music. The name for the magazine, ''Alternative Press'', was not a reference to the alternative rock genre, but referred to the fanzine being an alternative to the local press. Mike Byrne (musician)
Michael William Byrne (born February 6, 1990) is an American drummer who was a member of the band The Smashing Pumpkins. When Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan called for rehearsals to replace Jimmy Chamberlin, Byrne auditioned and was chosen out of thousands of applicants. He played drums in Sky Saxon tribute band Spirits in the Sky for six shows in August 2009, along with Corgan, Kerry Brown, Kevin Dippold, Mark Tulin, Linda Strawberry, Ysanne Spevack, Mark Weitz, and Dave Navarro, and also performs drums on the Pumpkins project, ''Teargarden by Kaleidyscope''. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication).
