Inside Views
''Inside Views'' (2001) is essentially a remix album of Circulatory System's first album, '' Circulatory System''. It is made up of "cut and paste style fragments, demos and animation derived from pieces of the circulatory system album". The album is meant to be played on shuffle mode. All versions come in an unmarked CD case, sprayed green, with a picture of a different bird pasted on the front. Circulatory System
The blood circulatory system is a system of organs that includes the heart, blood vessels, and blood which is circulated throughout the entire body of a human or other vertebrate. It includes the cardiovascular system, or vascular system, that consists of the heart and blood vessels (from Greek ''kardia'' meaning ''heart'', and from Latin ''vascula'' meaning ''vessels''). Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Orange Twin Records
Orange Twin Records is an Athens, Georgia-based record label run by Laura Carter of the band Elf Power. The label started in 1999 originally as a fundraiser for the Orange Twin Conservation Community and has released influential works by Jeff Mangum (Neutral Milk Hotel) and other bands from Athens, Georgia, including several Elephant 6 related groups. AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. Shuffle play is a mode of music playback in which songs are played in a randomized order that is decided upon for all tracks at once. It is commonly found on CD players, digital audio players and media player software. Shuffle playback prevents repeated tracks, which makes it distinct from random playback, in which the next track is chosen at random after the last track has ended. Will Cullen Hart
William Cullen Hart (born June 14, 1971) is an American pop musician. He was a co-founder of The Elephant 6 Recording Company, as well as the rock band The Olivia Tremor Control. Following that band's breakup, Hart and several other former members regrouped to create Circulatory System. Hart grew up in Ruston, Louisiana, with Bill Doss, Jeff Mangum and Robert Schneider. Doss and Hart (and, early on, Mangum) combined their musical efforts in The Olivia Tremor Control. Hart and Doss blended their differing musical inclinations for the band: Hart being known as the sonic experimenter, Doss the proponent of pop. This difference is evidently clear in the music produced by each since the end of the Olivia Tremor Control. Circulatory System (band) Albums
Circulatory System is a psychedelic rock musical ensemble formed by musician/painter Will Cullen Hart, and featuring Derek Almstead, Suzanne Allison, Peter Erchick, John Fernandes, Charlie Johnston, and Heather McIntosh. Hart, part of the Elephant Six Collective, was one of the lead players in The Olivia Tremor Control. After that group disbanded in 2000, he and most of the other former ''Olivias'', with the exception of Bill Doss (who was focusing on his solo project Sunshine Fix), and Eric Harris, formed Circulatory System. Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum also contributed to their albums, but was only briefly part of the touring version of the band.
