''Inside City Hall'' is an American political talk show that appears on the 24-hour cable-news television channel NY1. The show's format and topics focus primarily on political issues concerning New York City, but it extends into other issues, such as social, economic, and education topics affecting New York City. The current host is former ''New York Daily News'' columnist Errol Louis. ''Inside City Hall'' broadcasts live Monday - Friday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and is repeated at 11:00 PM. Host ''Inside City Hall'' was hosted by Dominic Carter and Andrew Kirtzman for many years until Kirtzman left New York 1 in 2002 to become political reporter and host of "Kirtzman and Company" for WCBS-TV. In 2009, Carter was arrested for domestic assault and NY1 did not renew his contract. His eventual replacement was current host Errol Louis. Josh Robin fills in occasionally as a guest host. David Paterson
David Alexander Paterson (born May 20, 1954) is an American politician and attorney who served as the 55th governor of New York, succeeding Eliot Spitzer and serving out nearly three years of Spitzer's term from March 2008 to December 2010. Vito Fossella
Vito John Fossella Jr. (born March 9, 1965) is an American politician serving as the Staten Island Borough President since 2022. A member of the Republican Party, Fossella previously represented the state's 13th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives for six terms, from 1997 to 2009 serving as the lone Republican from New York City. A Staten Island native, Fossella initially took office in 1997, after winning a special election held to replace the resigning Susan Molinari. Michael Gerard Grimm (born February 7, 1970) is an American politician and convicted felon, who represented New York in the United States Congress from 2011 to 2015 until his conviction and resignation from Congress. Grimm represented New York's 13th congressional district during his first term, after which he represented New York's 11th congressional district. Both districts consisted of Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn. Grimm is a member of the Republican Party; during his time in office was the sole Republican to represent a significant portion of New York City. Elizabeth Helen McCaughey (; née Peterken; born October 20, 1948), formerly known as Betsy McCaughey Ross, is an American politician who was the Lieutenant Governor of New York from 1995 to 1998, during the first term of Governor George Pataki. Herman Carl McCall (born October 17, 1935) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. A former New York State Comptroller and New York State Senator, McCall was the Democratic candidate for Governor of New York in 2002. McCall was the first African-American to be elected New York State Comptroller.
