Inquilab Zindabad
Inquilab Zindabad ( ur, ; hi, इंक़लाब ज़िन्दाबाद) is a Hindustani phrase, which translates to "Long live the revolution". It is a slogan used by revolutionary Indians before independence. History This slogan was coined by the Islamic scholar, Urdu poet, Indian freedom fighter and a prominent communist leader Maulana Hasrat Mohani in 1921. It was popularized by Bhagat Singh (1907–1931) during the late 1920s through his speeches and writings. It was also the official slogan of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association, and the slogan of Communist Consolidation as well as a slogan of the All India Azad Muslim Conference. In April 1929, this slogan was raised by Bhagat Singh and his associate B. K. Dutt who had shouted this after bombing the Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi. ''Inquilaab'' (Urdu: انقلاب, literal English translation: "revolution") is the third studio album and the fourth overall album of the Pakistani band Junoon. Although previous albums by Junoon also achieved considerable success, 'Inquilaab' contained the band's first major hit, the patriotic song "Jazba-e-Junoon". The album also contained the hit " Saeein," which marked Junoon's foray into what later became the sufi rock sound that Junoon is most popularly associated with. Other hits from the album were "Mera Mahi" and "Husan Walo". Background Inquilaab was the first hit album by the Pakistani rock band Junoon, released in 1996. It was also the album which marked the beginning of a new genre of Pakistani music that Junoon pioneered - sufi rock, which later on became the genre that Junoon is widely recognized by. ''Inquilaab'' () is a 1984 Hindi-language political action thriller film, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi in lead roles, with Utpal Dutt, Kader Khan, Ranjeet, Shakti Kapoor and others in supporting roles.
