Innsbrucker EV
Innsbrucker EV or EV Innsbruck was an ice hockey team based in Innsbruck, Austria. They competed in the Austrian Hockey League until 1993 and won the Austrian Championship seven times. Their home arena was Olympiahalle Innsbruck. The organization was disbanded entirely after the 1993–94 season. HC Innsbruck was founded in 1994 and, through not a continuation of the original franchise, is regarded as EV Innsbruck’s successor. Innsbruck
Innsbruck (; bar, Innschbruck, label=Bavarian language, Austro-Bavarian ) is the capital of Tyrol (state), Tyrol and the List of cities and towns in Austria, fifth-largest city in Austria. Christopher Robin Felix (born May 27, 1964) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played for several seasons with the Washington Capitals, who signed him as a free agent in 1988. Over four NHL seasons he played 35 games with 1 goal and 12 assists. Christian Perthaler (born July 21, 1968 in Innsbruck, Austria) is an Austrian former ice hockey right winger. Perthaler began his career with his hometown team Innsbrucker EV, where he spent four seasons. He moved to EK Zell am See for one season before joining Klagenfurt AC, spending three seasons with them. He spent one season with VEU Feldkirch before rejoining Klagenfurt. In 2001, he joined EHC Black Wings Linz and remained with the team until his retirement in 2008 at the age of 40. A player-coach (also playing coach, captain-coach, or player-manager) is a member of a sports team who simultaneously holds both playing and coaching duties. A player-coach may be a head coach or an assistant coach. They may make changes to the squad and also play on the team. Poul Popiel
Poul Peter Popiel (born February 28, 1943) is a Danish-American former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) and World Hockey Association (WHA), and also served as a head coach in the minor leagues. Following a brief 12 games in the International Hockey League (IHL) with the Muskegon Mohawks, he retired and became the head coach. Popiel and Garry Peters were co-winners of the inaugural Ken McKenzie Trophy as Central Professional Hockey League rookies of the year in 1963-64. His younger brother Jan Popiel is also a former professional hockey player. Popiel was the first Danish-born player in the National Hockey League. Kevin A. LaVallee (born September 16, 1961) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward who played eight seasons in the National Hockey League. NHL LaVallee started his NHL career with the Calgary Flames in 1980. He also played for the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, and St. Louis Blues. LaVallee played the last of his 398 NHL games (including playoffs) with the Penguins during the 1986–87 NHL season.
