Inner Ring Road (Shanghai)
Inner Ring Road (), also known as ''Inner Ring Elevated Road'' (), is an Elevated highway, elevated expressway loop in the city of Shanghai. It was the first ring road around the city of Shanghai. The Puxi section of the road was completely grade-separated and complete in 1994, while the Pudong section of the road was completely grade-separated in 2009. Before the grade separation in Pudong, the road ran at street level, with traffic lights at intersections. The maximum speed on the expressway is , with two lanes in each direction. The Inner Ring Road crosses the Huangpu River twice, using the Yangpu Bridge, Yangpu and Nanpu Bridge, Nanpu bridges. On northern and the eastern section, the toll road is grade-separated with the Sosrobahu road construction technique (also used in the Skyway (Metro Manila), Metro Manila Skyway and one half of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Skyway). George Town Inner Ring Road
George Town Inner Ring Road is an urban ring road within the city of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. It comprises the eastern end of Gurney Drive, Jalan Pangkor, Jalan Perak and Jalan Sungai Pinang, forming a loop containing the city centre. Both the old and new Central Business Districts of the city, as well as its UNESCO World Heritage Site, are located within the loop. The ring road serves to alleviate traffic congestion by acting as a bypass between the northern coast of George Town and the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway to the southeast. Whilst the ring road is presently formed by municipal roads, infrastructural plans have been drawn up to turn the roads into a proper expressway, including the construction of elevated bypasses and a tunnel. Sheffield Inner Ring Road is a dual-carriageway circling central Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Marked up as the A61 all the way around, it was built from the 1960s onwards. Manchester and Salford Inner Relief Route is a ring road in Greater Manchester, England. It is the product of the amalgamation of several major roads around Manchester and Salford city centres to form a circular route. It was completed in 2004 with the opening of a final section to Trinity Way. A major component of the ring road is the Mancunian Way motorway to the south of Manchester city centre. When it was built, it was planned to be the first of many such inner-city elevated roads. The Leeds Inner Ring Road is part-motorway and part- A roads in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, which forms a ring road around the city centre. It has six different road numbers that are all sections of longer roads. Clockwise, the roads are the A58(M), a motorway section of the A58 road; the A64(M), part of the A64 road; the A61 between York Road and the M621; the M621 between junctions 4 and 2; and the A643 between the M621 and A58.
