Inhotim
The Inhotim Institute is home to one of the largest foundations of contemporary art in Brazil and one of the largest outdoor art centers in Latin America. It was founded by the former mining magnate Bernardo Paz in 2004 to house his personal art collection, but opened to the public a couple of years later. In 2014, the open-air museum was one of TripAdvisor's top 25 best-ranked museums in the world. Located in Brumadinho (Minas Gerais), just 60 km away from Belo Horizonte, the institute has a total area of 1,942.25 acres, mostly located in the biome of the Atlantic Forest. Of the total area, 1,087.26 acres are marked as preservation areas, of which 359 acres are part of the Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural RPPN, which makes it a natural heritage site. Adriana Varejão
Adriana Varejão (born 1964, Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian artist. She works in various disciplines including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation and photography. She was an artist-in-resident at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 2004. Varejão lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. Background In the 1980s, Varejão was an engineering student. However, it was thanks to a bohemian artist Elizabeth Taylor's performance in The Sandpiper (1965) that she decided to also pursue a career in art. Bernardo Paz

Hélio Oiticica (; July 26, 1937 – March 22, 1980) was a Brazilian visual artist, sculptor, painter, performance artist, and theorist, best known for his participation in the Neo-Concrete Movement, for his innovative use of color, and for what he later termed "environmental art", which included ''Parangolés'' and ''Penetrables,'' like the famous ''Tropicália.'' Simon Starling
Simon Starling (born 1967) is an English conceptual artist and won the Turner Prize in 2005. Early life Simon Starling was born in 1967 in Epsom, Surrey. He studied photography and art at Maidstone College of Art from 1986 to 1987, then at Trent Polytechnic Nottingham from 1987 to 1990 and then attended Glasgow School of Art from 1990 to 1992. Roberto Burle Marx
Roberto Burle Marx (August 4, 1909 – June 4, 1994) was a Brazilian landscape architect (as well as a painter, print maker, ecologist, naturalist, artist and musician) whose designs of parks and gardens made him world-famous. He is accredited with having introduced modernist landscape architecture to Brazil. He was known as a modern nature artist and a public urban space designer. Brumadinho
Brumadinho () is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Minas Gerais. The city belongs to the Belo Horizonte metropolitan mesoregion and to the microregion of Belo Horizonte. Brumadinho is at an altitude of 880 m. In 2020 the population was 40,666. The municipality is on the Paraopeba River. The Inhotim Museum of Contemporary Art, one of the most important art venues of Brazil, is in the city. The municipality contains part of the Serra do Rola-Moça State Park, created in 1994. History Brumadinho was settled in 1689. The Banda São Sebastião Musical Corporation, a symphonic band, was founded on May 13, 1929, by Tarcilio Gomes da Costa in Brumadinho. The municipality of Brumadinho itself was officially established on December 17, 1938. On January 25, 2019, the city was the victim of a tailings dam collapse that killed 270 people. Tunga (artist)
Antonio José de Barros Carvalho e Mello Mourão (February 8, 1952 – June 6, 2016), known professionally as Tunga, was a Brazilian sculptor and performance artist. ''The Art Newspaper'' called him "One of Brazil's best-known contemporary artists." As early as he knew the Brazilian modernism he began his career in 1970 by making sculptures and drawings. In 1974 he completed a course in arquitecture and urbanism at the Universidade Santa Ursula. In 2005, Tunga became the first contemporary artist to exhibit his work at the Louvre in the museum's history during an installation called "A la Lumiere des Deux Mondes" ("The Meeting of Two Worlds"). One of Tunga's favorite practices was drawing, and he made his first solo show in 1974 at Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro entirely dedicated to this medium.
