Ingrid Helene Håvik
Ingrid Helene Håvik (born 1987 in Ålesund, Norway) is a Norwegian songwriter and vocalist. She is best known as the lead singer of Highasakite but has also released a solo album under the artist name Ingrid. Biography Håvik is a former member of the band Your Headlights Are On with a self-titled album in 2011. Highasakite was formed the same year, and they released their debut album ''All That Floats Will Rain'' the next year, with Håvik as one of the main composers. In 2014 the second album ''Silent Treatment'' was released, with all music and lyrics composed by Håvik. For this album, she won the category This years composer during the 2014 Spellemannprisen. She was also nominated in the category text writer, while the band won the category Pop Group of the Year for the album. "The Sun Always Shines on T.V." is a song by Norwegian band A-ha, released as the third single from their debut studio album, ''Hunting High and Low'' (1985). The song was written by guitarist Paul Waaktaar-Savoy, Pål Waaktaar. In some commercial markets the single was not as popular as their previous (debut) single "Take On Me", which had achieved the top spot in the United States and several other countries around the world, but in the United Kingdom and Ireland it improved upon the number-two charting of "Take On Me", reaching number one on the UK Singles Chart for two weeks in January 1986, having been released there on 16 December 1985. Its success secured for the band the prestige of having achieved number-one single status in both the primary Anglo-American popular music charts on either side of the Atlantic. Ålesund () sometimes spelled Aalesund in English, is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal County, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Sunnmøre and the centre of the Ålesund Region. Spellemannprisen, often referred to as the Norwegian Grammy Awards in English, is a Norwegian music award presented to Norwegian musicians. The award was established by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), an organization that represents the interests of the recording industry worldwide. First awarded in 1973, the prize honours musicians from the previous year; it is still awarded annually, usually in January or February. Ørjan Matre
Ørjan Matre (born 6 December 1979 in Bergen) is a Norway, Norwegian contemporary composer. Biography Matre studied composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music from 1999 to 2005 with teachers such as Bjørn Kruse, Olav Anton Thommessen, Lasse Thoresen and Henrik Hellstenius. Matre has written music for a wide variety of settings from chamber ensembles to symphonic orchestras. In 2011, Matre was bestowed with the Lindeman Prize for Young Musicians, and in the following year he received the Edvard Prize in the contemporary category for his clarinet concerto ''Inside Out''. 2015 saw Matre winning the TONO Composer’s Prize at the Spellemannprisen Awards, the Norwegian equivalent to the Grammy, for the release ''Ørjan Matre: PreSage & Violin Concerto'' with Peter Herresthal and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. Lars Petter Hagen
Lars Petter Hagen (born 2 August 1975) is a Norwegian contemporary composer, former director of the Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival and currently an adviser for the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. Biography Hagen studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music, and has written instrumental works, electro-acoustic pieces as well as music for film and theatre. 2003 saw Hagen bestowed with the Arne Nordheim’s Composer Prize and in 2004 he received the Edvard Prize in the contemporary music category. He received a 2013 Spellemannprisen Award in the Composer category for a release with the Oslo Philharmonic, Rolf Gupta and Gjermund Larsen featuring his works.
