Count Ingolf Of Rosenborg
Count Ingolf of Rosenborg (born 17 February 1940) is a Danish count and former prince. Born Prince Ingolf of Denmark ( da, Prins Ingolf Christian Frederik Knud Harald Gorm Gustav Viggo Valdemar Aage til Danmark), he appeared likely to some day become king until the constitution was changed in 1953 to allow females to inherit the crown, placing his branch of the dynasty behind that of his cousin Princess Margrethe and her two younger sisters. He later gave up his princely rank and his rights to the throne in order to marry a commoner. Family Ingolf was born at Sorgenfri Palace, Sorgenfri, as His Highness Prince Ingolf of Denmark. Ingolf Dahl
Ingolf Dahl (June 9, 1912 – August 6, 1970) was a German-born American composer, pianist, conductor, and educator. Biography Dahl was born Walter Ingolf Marcus in Hamburg, Germany, to a German Jewish father, attorney Paul Marcus, and his Swedish wife Hilda Maria Dahl. He had two brothers, Gert Marcus (1914–2008; a noted Swedish artist and sculptor, and a recipient of the Prince Eugen Medal), and Holger, and one sister Anna-Britta. In Hamburg, Dahl studied piano under Edith Weiss-Mann, a harpsichordist, pianist, and a proponent of early music. Dahl studied with Philipp Jarnach at the Hochschule für Musik Köln (1930–32). Ingolf Schanche
Ingolf Findregaard Schanche (13 June 1877 – 15 April 1954) was a Norwegian actor and theatre director. He spent most of his career at Nationaltheatret in Oslo, and was also the first artistic director at Det Nye Teater. Personal life Schanche was born in Bergen as the son of shipmaster Christian Fredrik Grøner Schanche (1847–1918) and Ida P. M. Larsen (1848–1896). He was a distant relative of postmaster Jens Schanche and Herman Garmann Schanche. He was married to actress Ragnhild Fredriksen (1882–1963) from July 1905. Career He made his stage début in 1897 at the Bergen theatre Den Nationale Scene in Peter Egge's play ''Stridsmænd'', and acted at Den Nationale Scene for two seasons. Ingolf Elster Christensen (28 March 1872 in Førde – 3 May 1943 in Førde) was a Norwegian jurist, military officer, county governor, and Member of Parliament from the Conservative Party. Biography Christensen was born at Sunnfjord in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. He was the son of Michael Sundt Tuchsen Christensen (1827–95) and Frederikke Sophie Elster (1838–1927). He was a brother of author and critic Hjalmar Christensen. Christensen graduated from Bergen Cathedral School in 1889 and then went to the Norwegian Military Academy, where he graduated as an officer in 1893. He was appointed governor of the County of Nordre Bergenhus in 1910 and held the position until 1929 (in 1919 the county was renamed Sogn og Fjordane). He was subsequently county governor of Oslo and Akershus from 1929 to 1941. Evert Ingolf Lindau (4 October 1942) is a Swedish physicist and professor emeritus at Lund University and Stanford University and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Biography Lindau was awarded his PhD in 1971 at Chalmers University of Technology with his dissertation about photoemission and optical absorption studies of the band structure. After the dissertation, he began working at the Silicon Valley-based company Varian Associates in Palo Alto between 1971-1972 before he was employed at Stanford University in 1972. In 1973 he obtained the first X-ray photoemission spectra of the 4''f'' levels of gold. In 1980 he became a professor at Stanford University for his research in electrical engineering and photonics. During his professorships he took a sabbatical at Lund University between 1988-1989, where he worked at MAX Lab to expand its research facility. Ingolf Rogde (14 May 1911 – 4 June 1978) was a Norwegian actor. He was born in Sande, Møre og Romsdal, and was married to actress Siri Rom. He was mainly known for his long-term period with the touring theatre Riksteatret. Rogde made his stage debut at Trøndelag Teater in 1937, and was later assigned with Det Nye Teater, Det Norske Teatret, Riksteatret and Rogaland Teater. He also worked for Radioteatret. Among his films are ''Rikard Nordraak'' (1945) and ''Ugler i mosen ''Ugler i mosen'' is a 1959 Norwegian mystery and adventure family film directed by Ivo Caprino. Ingolf Wunder
Ingolf Wunder (born 8 September 1985 in Klagenfurt) is an Austrian classical pianist. In 2010, Wunder was the second prize winner at the XVI International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. He also won special prizes for best concerto, best Polonaise-Fantasie performance, and the public prize at the competition. Career Wunder had his first music lesson at the age of four, initially learning the violin. His talent for the piano was discovered at the age of 14. He studied at the conservatories of Klagenfurt and Linz before joining the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. A participant in the earlier 2005 International Chopin Piano Competition, Wunder failed to make the last stage.
