Ingeborg Skov
Ingeborg Cathrine Caroline Skov (1893–1990) was a Danish actress who performed on stage as well as in a number of films. After training at Copenhagen's Dagmar Theatre, she made her stage debut there in 1911 while her first movie appearance was in 1914 in the silent film ''Elskovsbarnet''. After marrying the theatre director Carl Thorvald Larsen in 1930, she performed a wide variety of key roles, first at the Odense Theatre until 1935 and thereafter at Copenhagen's Folketeatret until 1959. After her husband retired, she ran the Alexandra Cinema in Copenhagen. Early life and education Born in Copenhagen on 22 February 1893, Ingeborg Cathrine Caroline Skov was the daughter of the auctioneer Nis Hansen Skov (1853–1904) and Agnes Augusta Ambrosen (1859–1904). Einar is a Scandinavian given name deriving from the Old Norse name Einarr, which according to Guðbrandur Vigfússon is directly connected with the concept of the einherjar, warriors who died in battle and ascended to Valhalla in Norse mythology. Erik Balling
Erik Balling (29 November 1924 – 19 November 2005) was a Danish TV and film director. He created two of Denmark's most popular TV-series, ''Matador'' and '' Huset på Christianshavn''. His feature film '' Qivitoq'' (1956) was nominated for a Golden Palm at the 1957 Cannes Film Festival, and for an Oscar as Best Foreign Language Film. His 1962 film ''Den kære familie'' was entered into the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival. Together with Henning Bahs, he also created the hugely popular series of ''Olsen Gang'' feature films. Annelise Hovmand
Annelise Mathilde Hovmand (17 September 1924 – 28 December 2016) was a Danish film director, screenwriter and film producer. She directed 12 films between 1955 and 1991. Her 1957 film ''Ingen tid til kærtegn'' won the Bodil Award for Best Danish Film and was entered into the 7th Berlin International Film Festival. Hovmand died on 28 December 2016 at the age of 92. Alice O'Fredericks (born Mitzi Otha Alice Frederiksen; 8 September 1899 – 18 February 1968) was a Danish actress, screenwriter, and film director. She is best known for directing the series of ''Far til Fire'' (''Father of Four'') comedies and the series of family dramas based on Morten Korch novels. Having written 38 produced screenplays and directed 72 feature films, O'Fredericks was one of the most prolific directors in Danish cinema. O'Fredericks also directed the first Danish films which highlighted women's rights.
