''Inge and the Millions'' (german: Inge und die Millionen) is a 1933 German comedy film directed by Erich Engel and starring Brigitte Helm, Carl Esmond, and Paul Wegener. Produced by Universum Film AG, UFA, it was shot at the Babelsberg Studios in Potsdam. The film's sets were designed by Otto Erdmann (art director), Otto Erdmann and Hans Sohnle. Location filming took place in Berlin and around Lake Constance. Erich Engel
Erich Gustav Otto Engel (14 February 1891 – 10 May 1966) was a German film and theatre director.He is often confused with another German film director called Erich Engels, who specialised in comedy, and crime films. Biography Engel was born in Hamburg, where later he studied at the School of Applied Arts. After finishing there he worked briefly as a journalist, then learnt acting at the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg, after which he spent several years with a touring theatre company. In 1917 and 1918 Engel was the dramaturgist in the ''Deutsches Schauspielhaus'', and later in the ''Hamburger Kammerspiele''. After a short engagement with the '' Bayerische Staatstheater'' in Munich he moved in 1924 to Berlin. Otto Wallburg
Otto Wallburg (21 February 1889 – 29 October 1944) was a German actor and Kabarett performer. He was a prolific film actor during the late silent and early sound era. Wallburg was born Otto Maximilian Wasserzug in Berlin, the son of a Jewish banker. He drifted into stage acting, but served in the German Army during the First World War and was wounded on the Eastern Front after winning an Iron Cross. From 1926 onwards he worked in the large German film industry, including many productions made by UFA. When the Nazis came to power in 1933 he left Germany and moved to Austria where he continued to work in film. He later moved to France and then on to the Netherlands. He was arrested following the 1940 German invasion of the Netherlands. He was held for a while at Westerbork transit camp, and later moved to Auschwitz where he was killed.
