Inferno (1997 Film)
''Inferno'' (also released as ''Operation Cobra'') is a 1997 feature film directed by Fred Olen Ray starring Don Wilson, Deepti Bhatnagar and R. Madhavan. Evan Lurie, Michael Cavanaugh and Tané McClure appear in other pivotal roles. This is the debut film of R. Madhavan. Plot synopsis Don Wilson plays Kyle Connors, an Interpol agent who travels to India on a mission of revenge against the terrorist that killed his partner. Fred Olen Ray
Fred Olen Ray (born September 10, 1954) is an American film producer, director, and screenwriter of more than 200 low-to-medium-budget feature films in many genres, including Horror film, horror, science fiction, action film, action/adventure film, adventure, erotic thrillers, crime dramas, and holiday films. Ray is the head of Retromedia, which releases DVDs of both his own productions and archival films. He has also worked for other well-known independent studios and on a few occasions for major Hollywood studios. He has been cited as an inspiration for many independent filmmakers. He loaned a 16 mm camera to Quentin Tarantino so he could make ''My Best Friend's Birthday''. Aside from his work in the film industry, Ray was also a professional wrestler. Gary Graver
Gary Foss Graver (July 20, 1938 – November 16, 2006) was an American film director, editor, screenwriter and cinematographer. He was a prolific filmmaker, working in various roles on over 300 films, but is best known as Orson Welles' final cinematographer, working over a period of six years on Welles' epic film ''The Other Side of the Wind'' which was released in 2018, 48 years after it was started. Graver began his career in the late 1960s as a cinematographer and editor of various B-movies, including several films by Roger Corman, before providing additional camerawork on John Cassavetes's ''A Woman Under the Influence'' (1974). ''Alai Payuthey'' ( ) is a 2000 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language romantic drama film written, co-produced and directed by Mani Ratnam, starring R. Madhavan, Madhavan (in his Tamil debut) and Shalini. The film explores the tensions of married life between two young people who elope and the maturing of love among urban Indians who are conflicted between tradition and modernity. The score and soundtrack were composed by A. R. Rahman. The film's story is mostly nonlinear narrative, recollected in flashbacks by Karthik (Madhavan), on how he and Shakthi (Shalini) fall in love against the backdrop of Chennai and its suburban trains, against the wishes of their parents.
