Indy Summit 2006
was a Japanese professional wrestling event co-produced by Apache Pro-Wrestling Army, Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW), DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT), , International Wrestling Association of Japan (IWA Japan), Kaientai Dojo (K-Dojo), Michinoku Pro Wrestling (M-Pro) and Osaka Pro Wrestling (OPW) on December 31, 2006 at Korakuen Hall, with the participation of wrestlers from Battlarts, Wrestling of Darkness 666, Toryumon Mexico, Dragon Gate (DG), World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW). The event featured a mixture of wrestlers from different independent promotions facing each other in a total of eight matches. Apache Pro-Wrestling Army
was a Japanese professional wrestling promotion operating from 2004 to 2009 and from 2010 to 2016. History Following the closure of Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling in 2002, Hiromichi Fuyuki formed his own promotion, which ran under the names Fuyuki-Gun Promotion (originally used by Fuyuki for an FMW-aligned venture following his withdrawal from WAR) and World Entertainment Wrestling, and which administered the WEW titles originally created in FMW in 1999. FMW alumni such as Kintaro Kanemura, Tetsuhiro Kuroda and Go Ito maintained the promotion even after Fuyuki's death in March 2003, but stopped in May 2004. Apache was founded by Ito and Kanemura in 2004 as a replacement of the old WEW. Ring Announcer
A ring announcer is an in-ring (and sometimes on-camera) employee or contractor for a boxing, professional wrestling or mixed martial arts event or promotion, who introduces the competitors to the audience. In boxing and mixed martial arts bouts, introductions occur after both fighters have entered the ring or cage. Along with each fighter's name, the announcer typically also announces their height, weight, town, nickname, win–loss record and any current or past titles the fighter has won. In MMA, the fighting discipline is usually announced. In professional wrestling, wrestlers are similarly introduced, though usually before or as they come to the ring (the weight of each female wrestler is unannounced in most promotions). Sayoko Mita
(born 5 August 1969, in Odawara, Kanagawa) is a Japanese sports journalist and TV announcer. Mita graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Keio University and in 1992, she joined TV Shizuoka as an announcer. She resigned in 1996 and after working in various sports media, specialised in puroresu as a member of the talent agency Furutachi Project. Mita is a prominent figure of Fighting TV Samurai puroresu broadcasts as an announcer of the daily programme as well as the producer and host for the weekly programme ''Indie no Oshigoto'' that focuses on the independent circuit. ''Indie no Oshigoto'' is co-hosted by the puppet character Carlos the Mexican Mole (voiced by puroresu journalist and colour commentator Hirotsugu Suyama). Naoki Tanizaki
is a Japanese wrestler. He is known for his work in Dragon Gate. He previously went under the ring name . Professional wrestling career Toryumon Mexico / Toryumon X / Toryumon / Dragon Gate (2002–2006) Originally from the Toryumon X promotion, Naoki Tanizaki debuted in a Toryumon Mexico show in December 2002. When Toryumon X made their Japanese landing in August 2003, Naoki debuted as a surfer (similar to Genki Horiguchi) defeating Kenichi Hanai. After losing to Horiguchi, he partnered with Horiguchi as the Surfing Brothers for his final two appearances in Toryumon X. The next month, Tanizaki made the jump to Toryumon Japan as a part of El Numero Uno 2004. Kengo Mashimo
is a Japanese professional wrestler currently working for Active Advance Pro Wrestling (2AW). His style is a combination of submission wrestling and hard, martial arts style strikes. Professional wrestling career Kengo Mashimo debuted in Puerto Rico in 2001 as one of the first Kaientai Dojo (K-Dojo)'s students. Once Kaientai Dojo arrived in Japan in April 2002, Mashimo started as a wrestler using a grappling and shoot style, finishing his opponents quickly by KO or TKO before starting a short series of matches with Isami which Mashimo lost 3-1, but in doing so, won a lot of crowd support for his fire and spirit. Kazuya Yuasa
is a Japanese professional wrestler, better known for his ring names Gaina (stylized in all capital letters) and Shisao. He has worked in Michinoku Pro Wrestling, Osaka Pro Wrestling and Okinawa Pro Wrestling, having titles in all the three promotions. Career Scouted by Jinsei Shinzaki, Yuasa trained at the Michinoku Pro Wrestling dojo and debuted in the promotion in 1999. After being sent to Toryumon Mexico to learn, he had feuds against his master and Minoru Fujita. In 2004, he took part in the Super J-Cup, but he was eliminated at the first round by New Japan Pro-Wrestling representative Wataru Inoue. Despite the loss, Yuasa impressed the pundits so much that he was invited to the Young Lions Cup tournament in NJPW, reaching the finals and facing Ryusuke Taguchi in a losing effort. Harashima (stylised in all capital letters) (born July 6, 1974) is a Japanese professional wrestler. He is best known for his work in DDT Pro-Wrestling (formally Dramatic Dream Team), where he is a ten-time KO-D Openweight Champion and a current eleven-time KO-D Tag Team Champion. He is also known for his appearances in Pro Wrestling Zero1-Max.
